It employs l Full tirne Project Manager who oversees the day to day activities of the Charity and a part time driver. The charity works with the Trussell Trust a national charity in the alleviation of food poverty primarily in the UK and accordingly we work according to the Trussell Trust principleg and practices. The recent new Trustees were recruited as a result of a number of the original Trustees expressing a desire to reduce their commitment. Subsequently using National Volunteer Week as 3 focus and using several different outlets including our own social media we successfully recruited several new Trustees. These Trustees were interviewed by the board of Trustees to identify specific skills to add to the knowledge and running of the Charity. Its activities are as stated in its charity objectives and are as follows:_ TO ASSIST PERSONS PRIMARILY IN ATHERTON, TrLDE£LFY, LFICIH AND rrs SURROUNDING AREAS OR IN OTHER PARTS OF THE UK WHO ARE IN LONDITIONS OF HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUStEES FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVFLY, BY THE PROVISION OF FOOD TO ENSURE A HEALTHY AND NUTRITIOUS DIET DURING A PERIOD OF CR151S WHERE THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE OBTAIN FOOD TO EAT. In terms of achievements sufficient funds have been maintained to cover the running of the charitv for at least another 3 years. Secondly sufficient food has been available throughout the whole of the vear to enablè us to give out a minimum of 3 days worth of meals for each and every family member who have been in food crisis. We currently still have a large stock of in date food to supply to our clients. In the twelve months we gave out a minimum of 3 days food to 3,063 Adults and 1,938 Children 16 years and under. This related to collections and donations totalling 47.8 tonnes whilst distributing 45.5 tonnes of food leaving a warehouse stock balance of 17 tonnes at 31103/24 Also various items of personal, hygiene, baby products and clothing plus occasional tents and clothing were also provided. A significant further improvement in the services offered has been the change to a Financial Inclusion Hub financed by Trussell Trust where services from Citizens Advice and CAP {Debt and other welfare assistance) have been available . Unfortunately owing to staffing Issues UNIFY Credit Union have had to withdraw from the Hub. During this past twelve months the National Government has handed out significant amounts of money to local government to assist with local welfare initiatives. In our area food vouchers have been provided in order to visit local social food market enterprises and this may have caused the drop in the requirement of our Foodbank Services. This resulted in a decrease of approximately 3IYA but significantly only 25% with regard to children. With regard to the Financial Inclusion Hub the Foodbank has bèen suctessful in being awarded a further grant in order to offer Citizens Advice availability at every Distribution Centre location over a 5 day week. Furthermore another grant has been awarded to the Foodbank to employ a Strategic Support Officer sometimes known as Relationship Manager in order to promote the ethos of the Foodbank with all our Agencies and working partners. As stated WÈ are in a healthy financial situation with sufficient reserves to cover all current potential liabilities such as rent, gas and electricity and all other contracts. This includes a new 3 year lease for warehouse premises to be negotiated in the current twelve months.
