**Objects:** A) PROMOTE THE BENEFITS OF THE INHABITANTS OF CONSETT AND SURROUNDING DISTRICT (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE AREA OF BENEFIT) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, AND THE INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME AND OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. **Activities:** We provide a venue for groups in Consett, County Durham, and the surrounding district to meet together for various social activities, e.g. clubs, societies and Women's Institute; as well as groups for those with mental health issues, young people with learning difficulties and those with addictions.  We hold information events, coffee afternoons, Wellbeing Centre and local government meetings.
