ort of the Trllstees
for the Year Ended 31 Jul 2025
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 July 2025. The In￿teeS
have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable
to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial ReportAng Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ire1[￿d (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AM) ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aim5
The Charity's objectives are the provision of resources and equipment for neonatal units lo relieve the suffering and
emotional distress of persons who have experienced the loss of a child. in particular, but not exclusively by supporting
newly bereaved parents by the provision of memory boxes.
The Tn￿tee8 have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Con)mission in deciding what activities the Charity
should undertake.
ACHIEVEMENTS AIYD PERFORMANCE
Charitabl¢ activities
Thi5 year has had its peaks and troughs. due to personal circumstances of some of our Trustees we haven* done as much
direct fundraising as we had envisaged. We have contiuu¢d to see a slow recovery from the COVtD-19 pandemic. We
have had slalls at various carnivals and fetes and although as we saw last year. the public have regained their confidence
to attend events, they don't seem to liave as much disposable money to give to charities. Our arll]ual ball was again a
huge success at which we generated fimds to help our cause. We continued to provide required resources to the
Neonatal Units and improved the facilities for parents and farnilies. We supplied and delivered Mothers Day and
Christsnas gifts to the units.
We have continued to distribute our Memory Boxes to the Neonatal units which are given to parents who suffer a
bereavemenl and these have made a huge impact to their recipients.
We continue to build up good relationships Consultants and Hospital staff throughout the region and work with
suppliers to negotiate dis¢ount8 for any equipment that we purchase.
CoTporate support has been slow due to the fmancial position that COrnP8nie8 are in due to the CUTrent economy.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
The Charity is solely fimded by voluntary donations and ￿ndraiSIng events alld only has tninimal expenses so it has not
been necessary to set a fonnal reserve.
Our plans for the fjjture are to keep growing the Charity so that we can support more and more families and babies on
their neonatsl journey, to help raise more awareness of our cause and to continue to supply memory boxes to families
who experience a neonatal death, this will in turn lead to further charitable donations. Income tax recoverable in relation
to donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the time of the donation.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Gov¢rning documcnt
The charity is controlled by its governing document, a deed of ttust and constitutes an unincorporated Charity.
Risk mallagement
The tsvstees have a thity to identify and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate
controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.
