Achievements and Performance
As Tring Together celebrated its 19[th] anniversary, the charity continues to change and grow to suit the needs of our local community, living our vision to “Enjoy Life in Tring!”

Our Big Community Events
Spring Fayre 2024 saw a fortnight of activities to encourage people to move outside and enjoy Tring in Spring. Moving
into the Autumn we were a partner in Tring’s Own Apple Fayre , helping with marketing and logistics behind the scenes. Dinosaurs came to Tring in the May half
term. In partnership with Tring Town Council and the Local History Museum, we created on a free event for families in the Memorial Garden. Over 2,000 people came to visit during the two days.
The Summer Carnival in June 2024 saw a week of fund-raising events for local charities, culminating in a very successful Carnival Day. Close to 4,000 people enjoyed a sunny afternoon on Pound Meadow.
The Christmas Festival 2024 saw
reindeer (yes, real ones!) in the Memorial Garden, together with Father and Mrs Christmas. Stalls galore filled the streets, the churches all opened for visitors and four entertainment stages hosted 21 different groups during a wonderful evening.
To reinforce our vision to Enjoy Life in Tring, Tring Together facilitated the town commemoration of D Day 80

Now in its 4[th] year , Tring Music Partnership wants everyone in our community to have the opportunity to take part in music as we know that music is a massive benefit to mental health and wellbeing.
We deliver our own events and workshops and work in partnership with schools and existing music groups to support and connect everything musical in Tring.
Here is just some of what we achieved in the past year
-
Ran free youth big band/jazz instrumental workshops
-
Started a ‘Big Tring Youth Sing’ group, for years 5-9, to fill a gap in musical provision
-
Started the Zebra Jazz Collective under the wing of TMP and celebrated when they flew away to be an independent group
-
Ran the four stages at the Tring Christmas Festival enabling school choirs, local musicians and dance groups to perform live
-
Took part in the Piano & More concert series in St Peter and St Paul’s church
-
Continued to work with Tring School music department
-
Provided early years music sessions for Tring Tots community playgroup
-
Supported the FOTCH charity with musical performances on their Family Fun Day
-
Ran a fundraising quiz in the Nora Grace Hall
-
Successfully applied for grants from community arts groups to fund our work
-
Ran a 2[nd] successful gala night, featuring young people from our workshops. The photo below is all the participants and audience, recreating the sort of photographs that line the stairs of the Victoria Hall in Tring.

Tring Together at the Nora Grace Hall. Our eleventh year at the Nora Grace Hall was full of delightful events together with lots & lots of fitness classes and educational activities. We are very grateful to our loyal band of hall hirers that keep this Tring asset, in the centre of town, a thriving community hub.
Tring Cinema celebrates its 10[th] birthday very soon and continues to go from strength-to-strength, with an appreciative audience and sellout performances. The team that run the cinema know their audience and they know what makes a successful film evening.

Members and Supporters
Tring Together BusinessMart
ran its 165[th] networking event this year and we have over 550 local BusinessMart contacts. We also produce a monthly Business E-Bulletin, to showcase Tring businesses. Our monthly BusinessMart meetings are famous for being welcoming and friendly, our mantra being that we want people to get to know each other, trust each other & then to work together.
Community Group Action is our popular quarterly community update, supported by a community calendar on our website.
Volunteers. We are blessed with a large pool of volunteers, many of whom support us for the big town events. We could not put on our events without them.
Donations, Grants and Fundraising are our main source of income. The Big Quiz at Tring Carnival was our biggest fund raiser of the year and our grant applications came from a diverse range of funders. We received a grant from Tring Town Council towards running costs and major town events, from Dacorum Borough Council for major town events and from Herts County Council for the Spring Fayre and the Summer Carnival.
Marketing. Our website is www.tringtogether.org.uk. We use the social platforms Facebook (3300 followers compared to 3200 last year) and Instagram (2646 followers compared to 2356 last year).

Charitable Objectives and Activities
The charitable objects of Tring Together are:
“ For the public benefit to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of charities, and the effective use of resources for charitable purposes by not-for-profit organisations and voluntary organisations working in Tring and the surrounding area by giving advice and assistance to enable them to meet their purposes.”
And in 2024/25 the following activities were identified as supporting our objects.
-
Running the Christmas Festival to provide local charities with the opportunity to raise money and awareness.
-
Membership of BusinessMart enables charities to meet local businesses, raise awareness and increase support.
-
Charities are included in BusinessMart and Group Action meetings to raise awareness for their causes.
-
Our Group Action monthly newsletter spreads the news about charity and not-forprofit events in the town.
-
The Nora Grace Hall is a community hall, available for hire to community groups at a very reasonable price. We have some legacy supported groups that pay no or very little rent.
-
We provide opportunities for people to volunteer and therefore help their local community.
-
We pull together groups to work in partnership to get involved in community projects; e.g. the D Day 80 commemoration.
-
We communicate wider opportunities for community groups (and local businesses) to benefit from large events, e.g. Dacorum Business Regeneration, Community Action Dacorum opportunities.
-
We assist Community Groups (and businesses) to make links and contacts in the town by being a “go to” place for information.

Future Plans
Our plan for 2025/26 is to continue to consolidate as a sustainable charity, whilst still giving Tring lots of reasons to love their community. At the time of writing, we are looking forward to the Tring Carnival, there is excitement over the future plans for the Nora Grace Hall and Tring Music Partnership are blossoming and growing. It’s great to see Tring Cinema selling out every screening. And VE and VJ 80 sees Tring Together again being the “go-to” group for town events.
Tring Together are tremendously grateful to their supporters and friends; from individual volunteers who give their time to carry out specific jobs, to businesses who provide sponsorship for events such as the Christmas Festival, and to our Trustees and others who provide advice and wisdom as we set out, yet again, to do lots of new things to help people “Enjoy Life in Tring!”
