Commission on 12 July 2013 and look over the bank balance as al that dale of its predecessor, the
unincorporated association 'Newcourt Community Association,.
The NCA is governed by a board comprising a mlnimum of 3 and a maximum of 12 appointed trustees, of
whid) at least two thirds of the trustees musl be residents of N8w¢ourt and vob'ng memb&rs of the NCA. New
tIU5tees ar¢ appointed eithor throu9h being clc¢ted by the membgrs or co-opted by thg •xisting trustO0S.
New trustees appointed by the gxlsting tru51ees must retire at the next AGM following their appointment, and
onè third of tho trustèès sppointed by the membgrs mLlSt Also rptirA At thp AGM. This ansLJre8 that there will
always be an opportunity for al18ast four new Irust88s to be appointed 88¢h year al the AGM.
At the end of 2021 the trustee board was changing with a number of trustees indicating their inlents'on lo
stsnd Oown In 2022. In January 2022 Karen Sllcox took on a widei rule iii Ili¥ org¢inisation taking on
managernent of tha cornmunity ¢entr8 on a fixed term contr8et until December 2022. This role allowed the
tIUsle¢¥ IiiTIE tu ieview the situation which ultimately led to a staffing re3tructure And r¢¢ruf£in9 of a new
Community and Engagement Lead. Lisa Gordon. in August 2022.
In Sèptember 2022 the trustees agreed to extend Karen'5 contracl until December 2023 to provide some
stsbility and allow Lisa lo settle in.
In the Autumn of 2022 the Iruslees in conjunction wth Karen Silcox Wan reviewing banklng payroll
arrangements in order to provide grèatèr resilience within thè orgsnisation.

4. Achl•v•ments and pgrfomiance
During yèar the main focus has been navigating the crisis ot multiple vacancies In lh8 rrusiee )oar(J 8t
th¢ same time a8 losing the Centrc Manager. This was largoly complgto by August 2022 whèn the ngw
Community Engagement Lead, Lisa Gordon started work. Lisa has made a great start to her post organising
èvonts for familios during the October Half Torrn Llga h8q Alfn takon r)n prodLJcing the Newcourt Newsletter
and maintenance of community noticeboards from volunteers who stepped down. The l¥uslees want to
T8cord thèir thanks all the volunteers their lime they have given over the years.
Th8 Irusl88s also want to r8eord their thanks lo Mlk Ralcliffe for the way he stepped up dunng ihis lime.

Plans for the Futur•
Thè trust88s were able lo complete their tsrgels for 2022 Ihouah his has taken longer than anticipated. Now
as we move out of crisis mode thè trustees wsh to build for the futu￿. A rèview period will start in February
2023 with the aim of completing a new &yoar plan in by the end of 2023. This is a year later than anticipated
but will give th8 trustees time to evaluate the new staffing roles.
