STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Obj¢cts & Governance
The Charitabl¢ Incorporated Organisation was registered as a charity with the Charity Commission on l Oth July 2013.
The objects of the CIO are the advancement of the education and cultural understanding of the public and astrological
community by the critical study of astrology in all its branche5. their history and contemporary value.
Management Structure
Over the period the charity has been run by 12 trustee5, each with different backgrounds and expertise that can contribute to the
dellvery of the charity's objectives.

the Association periodically refreshes the look and feel of the site in line with trends in website enhancement
The general public Facebook pages inforni and encourage lively-discussion to an ever-expanding world-wide audience and helps
to promote quality astrological events around the world. Regular updates are communicated free of charge to thousands of
associated members.
The Association also continued its Instagram and YouTube programmes during the year. offering the general public an
astrological insight into the New Moon each month. This has been well received with thousands subscribing to view uploads.
The Association's cmailed newsletter, In the L¥)op, reaches 5,000 members and non-members at least quarterly and ensures that
everyon¢ is up to date with activiti¢& publications and events as well as providing the opwrtunity for feedback on the offering.
The Aslrologlcal Journal
The Journal (continually published since 1959) has again produced six high quality full-colour journals within the
year and received excellent feedback. The new-online flip-book Style journal has proved very popular
The contributors to the journal continue to expand from experts around the world with subjects as diverse as the
history of astrology. political events, profiles of eminent astrologers well as esoteric and Chinese astrology.
In September 2024 The Association launched Stellar, an online publication, also available with the printed
journal, with a focus on current affairs. popular culture and astrological news from around the world. St¢llar is
targeted to younger and global audiences and particularly those who are new to astrology or interested in its
application to newsworthy events and people.

for the Association's specialist Correlation Journal continues
to be an up-to-date sourc¢ of reference and new materials for astrological research to anyon¢ in the world.
Correlation has been published continually since 1981. Volumes 36 numb¢r 2 and 37 number I were published in the
second half of 2024 and January 2025respectiv¢ly.

The Astrology and Medicine Newsletter has continued to publish its three issue5 per year now both in digital forniaL as
well as a paper edition. During the year the publication was refreshed to enhance the reader experience and reflect the
growing interest in the area of medical astrology.
All issues ever published of the four above publications are available on-line to association members or subscribers.
Individual copies can be purchased and downloaded by non-subscribers. Ideas and knowledge scanning many decades
are constantly available.
The Association continues to enjoy a mutually supportive relationship with the world-renowned AslroDataBank with
which its chart database is linked and where articles are sought from the Astrological Journal to widen readership.

The Association Library continues to be fully housed, catslogued and cared for by the Association's Librarian the highly
regarded astro-archivist Philip Graves, alongside his own Aslr()learn Library, to forni an International Astrolo￿ Library
omprising tens of thousands of astrology books and periodicals stored in one convenient place - N¢wporL South Wales,
United Kingdom. The rang¢ is truly international, with astrology volumes in English, French. Gernian, Spanish, Itslian. Dutch,
Polish. Danish, Norwegian, Hungarian, Russian, Serbian. Turkish, Japanese, Akkadian, Ancient Greek, Latin. Arabic. Hebrew
and Arnienian available. All are available for reference and research to the membership and the general public. [Full details of

The Librarian has developed the distribution of duplicate second-hand astrology books, which has received a very good
international response. Part of the Library r¢organization has been to mak¢ the archive5 of John Addey, Charles Harvey, and R
H Naylor, available and ready.
In September 2024, the Library received a £5,000 donation from the Kathleen Hannay Memorial Charity. It has be¢n decided to
use these funds to establish a Virtual Library, starting with rare and oul of print books. The aim is to make this self-supporting,
50 that an ever-increasing number of astrology books shall be available. Another important use of the fund will be to enabl¢ the
Librarian to offer bi-monthly online scholarly sessions and to encourage contributions and establish friends of th¢ library to
make their own contribution, 50 expanding the capacity of the library to offer reliable understanding of astrology to an ever.
widening public.
Conference ond Evenl Days
The A550ciation's 56th Conference was held in Hinkley, Leicestershire and was a great success, both financially and
astrologically, with residential places being fully booked in advance.
177 delegates attended in person and a further 77 online. There were 50 speakers, the majority of which attended in person, and
the conference once again it provided an cxcellent opportunity to exchange astrological knowledge and experiences both
fornially and infornlally.
Conference and Event Days provided online continu¢ to draw together people from a wide range of astrological schools and
other groups, as well as the general public. Local groups continue to meet live and via digital platforni, running increasingly
succ¢ssful events that reach astrologer5 and members of the public from all over the world. The resources of the Association
have been developing support for this expansion.
The AA continues to hold free webinars to members and the general public. The popular Astro-Duets webinars have continued
throughout the year with a diverse range of astrological topics and guest speakers. The main aim of these is to engage the
astrological community in a dialogue aboul topics of interest. These webinars are free to both members and non-members,
although donations are encouraged..
Kepler Day
On Sunday 26 January 2025, in association with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. a conference was held at their London,
Canary Wharf Campus and steamed live throughout the world. Present¢rs, from th¢ USA, Canada, Australi￿ South Americ& Europe,
as w¢ll as th¢ United Kingdom, dedicated their presentations to the scholarly assessment of astrological research to an audience of
130, who also had access to recordings of the presentations for 90 days afterwards

The Association maintains regular relations with recognized international &8trological organisations in Americ￿ Europe, Asia and
Australasii who share and enhance its aim to sustain and extend the highest standard of critical understanding of astrology.
Future aetivitle5
Conference and Eveni Days
The Association's 57th Conference will be held in August 2025 and, once again, will be a hybrid event with residential delegates
and with all presentations streamed via digital platfornis to online delegates and available to both groups of attendees, post
conf¢rence for 90 days.
The Association received over 100 applications to speak at the 2025 conf¢rence and it promises to be a stimulating and entertaining
event aimed at astrologers of all levels and interests.
Volunleers
Many volunteers continue to help with the Association's conferences and website and event day services.
The Association is very grateful for their continu¢d involvement and support both at the conference and throughout the year.
The entire Board perfornis much of the initiation, creation, implementation and coordination of the Association's activities on a
voluntary basis. The Association each year aims lo seek out new trustees who bring relevant and needed skill sets to the board with
the aim of developing the Association's public position and social media presence. The Association conducts a thorough
intrrviewing and nomination process to ensure that new trustees are suitsble for the position and fully understand the obli8ations and
commitments involved.
The board currently has an open position for those who are keen to contributs to ensuring that astrology is protected and its reach
extended,
Publlcallons
The Association will continue its publications with resources being allocated to enhance the quality and Circulation to its
subscribers and members. There will continue to be six editions of The Aslrologicaljournal and Stellar with more interactive
audio and video offerings added
Once again, three editions of the Astrolo￿ and Medicine Newsletler and two of The Correlalion are planned for publication in
2025-26.
Accesslble Information and Llbrary Resource
The expansion of the Library, explained abov¢, is now a part of an International Astrology Library with a combined collection
of tens of thousands of books and periodical reference material, is now carefully stored and availabl¢ for study. Th¢ Librnrian
continues to be increasingly involved day-by-day in answerlng questions online, providing resOu￿¢S and hosting visitors to the
library. Thus, making literature and research materials more accessible to members and the general public.. An up-to-date
listing of all the second-hand books is now available indicating the publication information and the quality of each one.
Plans to continue this on an ongoing basis are now in place. See the major developments of the Library outlined abov¢.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves Policy
The Trustees consider that the Charity's res¢rves will enhance the services provided and provide financial security for the future.
The reserves held in unrestricted funds, which have not been designated or invested in fixed assets, at 31.03.25 were £48,266
(2024-£46.071).
The reserves policy of the charity is to endeavour to hold at least six months running costs in free unrestricted reserves. As at
31.03.25, the unrestricted reserves, not designated and not held as fixed assets, were £48.266. This represents approximately
five months, running costs. Th¢ charity closely monitors the level of reserves and ensur¢s that these ar¢ maintained by the use of
good management and financial controls.
PUBLIC BENEFIT
In planning th¢ charity's activities. the Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on "Public
Benefit" The trustees have complied with the duty in Section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to the public
benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission in December 2008.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of accounts.
The charitys trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under Section 144(2) of thc Charities
Act 2011 (the 2011 Act)) and that an independent examination is r4uired.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for independent
examination, it 15 my responsibility to..
examine the accounts under Section 145 of the 2011 Act
to follow the procedures laid down in the Gcnerdl Directions given by the Charity Commission
(under Section 145(JXb) of the 201 l Act). and
to state whether particular matters have Come to my attention.
Basls of the Independent exvdmlner'g report
My examination was C&Tied out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a Comparison of the accounts
presented in those records. It also includes a consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and
seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the
accounts present a true and fair view., and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

In connection with my examination, no matter has ¢ome to my attention:
