The objects ofthe CIO are the advancement of the education an(1 cultural understanding ofthe public and astrological community by the critical study of Lstrology in all its branche4 their history and contemporary value. Management Strueture Over the period the charity has been run by 12 trustees. with different backgrounds and expertise that can contribute to thc delivery of the charity's objectives. OBJECTIVES, ACTIVITIES, ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE Websltes and Soclol Medla The Association's secure, multi-platform, user-friendly website htt sJ/astrolo i¢alassociation.com is regularly updated with new material to provide an extended service to our membership and especially the general public, who can access astrological inforn)ation on edu¢ation and community. in texL audio and Vid fomwt archi. Its general public Facebook pages inforn) and encourage likely-discussion to an ever-expandints world-wide audience and helps to promo quality astrological events around the world. Regular updates are communi&ed fiee of charge to thousands of associated mernb¢. During the year the Association increased Ats presence on Instag[3 and this is leading to wider engagement with a younger audience. The Association launched a new Instagram and YouTube programrne offering the general public an astrological insight into the New Moon each month. This has been well received tk thousalth subscribing to view uploads. TheAslrological Joiirnal The Journal (continually published since 1959) has again produced six high quality full-colour journa15 Wlthin the year and received excellent feedback. The online journal has just moved to a multi-media platform which is interactive and more accessible to an expanding readership. The Contributors to the journal continue to expand from experts around the world. The journal is launching in ?0?4 a new insert to the publication called Stellar. with a focus on current affairs and ne5 around the world which is tsrgeted to younger and global audiences. This section of the journal will be offered free to the public with the aim of raising awareness and providing information not otherwise available on social medi& Correlalion The Association's w¢bsi* h s:l/correlation ournal.com for the Aslation,S specialist Correlation Journal continues to be an Up-tdate source of reference and new maierials for astrological research to anyone in the world. Correlation has been published continually since 1981. Volumes i5 number 2 and 36 number I were published in the second half of 202) and January 2024 respectively. Correlation 36 number l. in particular, has generated a lot of interest and many new subscrib¢r5. The Astrolow. and Mediclne NeMTsletter The Astrology and Medicine Newsletter has Continued to publish its three issu¢s per year now both in digital format. as well as a paper ¢dition. All issue8 ever published of the three above publications are availabl¢ on-line to association members or subscribers. Individual copi¢s Can be purchased and downloaded by non-subscribers. Ideas and knowledge scanning many decades are constantly avaTlable. The Association continues to enjoy a mutually supportive relationship with the world-r¢nowned AstroDaiaBank with which its chart database is linked and where articles are sought from the Astrological JOrnal to widen readership.

The range is truly international, with astrology volumes in English, French. G¢nnan, Spanish, Italian: Dutch, Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Hungarian. Russian. Serbian, Turkish. Japanese, Al(kadian, Ancient Greek, Latin, Arabic. Hebrew and Armenian available. All are available for reference and r¢sear¢h to th¢ membership and the oenerdl public. Part of th¢ Library reorganization has been to make the archives of John Addey.. Charles Harvey. and R H Naylor. available and ready, Two members of the Association's Board have agreed to work on these. The scanning project continues with the aim of preserving the content of rare and out of print books th* are in poor condition. erence andE nlDa ' Our 55th Main Confer¢nce was held in Staffordshire in O¢tober ?023 as well as all presentations being str¢amed via digital platform. Delegates from all the world s continents attended to benefrt frorn the high standard of techniques and research. 180 delegates attended in person and a further l ?0 online. There were 59 speakers. the majority of which attended in person, and it provided an excellent opportunitS' to exchange astrological knowledge and experiences both formally and inforn)ally. Conference and Event Days provided online ¢ontinue to drnw together people from a wide range of >rological schools and other groups, as well as the general public. Lal groups continue to meet live and via digital platforni, running increasingly successful events that reach astrologers and members of the public from all over the world. The resources of the Association have been a developing SUPPOrt in this expansion. The AA continues to hold free webinars to members and the general public. In January 2024 the AA introduced a new series of webinars- Astr0-Du¢ts. The main aim of these is to eno . the astrolooical community in a dialogue about topics of interest. These webinars are free. although donations are encouraged, and have been very well receiwed by both members and non-members. liilernallonal on eellons The Association maintains regular relations with r¢cotsnized international astrological organisations in America, Europe, Asia and Australasia. who share and enhance its aim to Sustain and extend the hiJfy est standard of critical understanding of astrology. Future activlties Conference aAdEvenl Days 'rhe Association's 56th Conference will bt held in August 2024 and. once again: will be a hybrtd event with residential delegates and with all presentations streamed via digital plaffornis to online d¢legates and available to both groups of att¢ndees. post conference for 90 days. Following the successful approach in 20 effort is again being made to include first-time presentrrs and attendees. so that the critical understanding of Astrology can be advanced. and so infÉ)rn] the expanding interest in the knowledge within the coinmunity and to educate the geneTal public. There are also plans in place for a K¢pler Day in January 25, where astrologers can exchanse. present and ri8orously consider serious new astrological research.

The Association is very grateful for their continued involvement and support both at th¢ conference and throughout the y¢ar. The entire Board performs much ofthe initiation. Creatio implementation and Coordination ofthe Association's activities on a voluntary basis. The Association each year aims to seek out new trustees who bring relevant and needed skill sets to the board with the aim of developing the Association's publi¢ position and social media presence. The Association conducts a thorough interviewing and nomination process to ensure that new trustees are suitable for the position and fully understand the obligations and commitments involved. In 2023 five new trustees were appointed. each of whom bTing skills in medii marketing? governan¢e and contacts, and finance within the wider astrological community, as well as broadening the age rdnge and diversity of the board. In ?023 the board undertook diversity training to improve and enhance relationships and to train board members in understanding unconscious bias and sensitivities in working with each other and approach the wider community. Publicoilons The Association continues its publications with resource5 being allocated to enhance the qUlty and circulation to its subscribers and memb¢rs. Ther¢ will continue to be six editions of The Astrological Journal but big changes are planned as online content will become more int¢raetive with audio and video offerings as well as a new section to broad¢n the reach of the Journal to the wider astrological community. Furthermore, there will be three editions of the Astrology and Medicine Newsletter. The Correlation Editor has two more in preparation for publi¢ation in 2024-25. Aecesslble Ivfornwllon rtnd Llbrary Resources The expansion of the Library, explained above, is now a part of an International Astrology Library with a combined collection of tens of thousands of books and periodical reference material, is now carefully stored and available for study. The Librarian is increasingly involved day-by-day in answering questions online) providing resources and hosting visitors to the library. Thus, making literature and research materials more accessible to members and the general public. Th¢ organisation of the sale of second-hand books has been fully reviewed and developed, leading to a most positive public response. An up-to-date listing of all the second-hand books is now available indicattng the publication inforniation and the quality of each one. Plans to continue this on an ongoin8 b&si$ are now in place.

The reserves held in unrestricted funds: which have not been designated or invested in fjxed assets. at 31.03.24 were £46.071. The reserves policy of the charity is to endeavour to hold at least six months running costs in free unrestricted reserves. As at 31.03.24: the unrestricted reserv. not designated and not hcld as fixed assets, were £46.071. This represents Tnore than six months, running costs. The charity closely monitors th¢ level of reserves and ensures that these are maintained by the use of good management and financial controls. PUBLIC BENEFIT In planning the charity's activities. the Trwtstees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on "Public Benefit" The trustees have complied with the duty in Section 4 of th¢ Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to the public benefft guidance published by the Charity Commission in December 2008. Basis of the independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the Generdl Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of th¢ accounts presented in those records. It also includes a Consideration of any unusual it¢ms or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters.
