## **STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT** 

## **Objects & Governance** 

The Charitable Incorporated Organisation was registered as a charity with the Charity Commission on 10th July 2013. 

The objects of the CIO are the advancement of the education and cultural understanding of the public and astrological community by the critical study of astrology in all its branches, their history and contemporary value. 

## **Management Structure** 

Over the period the charity has been run by 11 trustees, each with differing backgrounds and expertise that can contribute to the delivery of the charity's objectives. 

## **OBJECTIVES, ACTIVITIES, ACHIEVMENT AND PERFORMANCE** 

## _**Websites**_ 

The Association's secure website [https://astrologicalassociation.com] continues to be updated with new material to provide an extended service to our membership, who can access astrological expertise, in text, audio and video format archives, from anywhere in the world .. The enhanced multi-platform upgrade, to make the site more user friendly and access more immediate, in accordance with modern social media and multi-platform developments, has been completed and was launched in 2020. Particular attention was given to expanding the site's online access to even more members of the public. 

The website [ www.correlationjournal.com) for the Association's specialist Correlation Journal continues to be updated and a source ofreference and materials for astrological research. 

In the past year, the Association's chart database has been fundamentally upgraded and linked with the world renowned AstroDataBank archives, with whom we now have a continuing mutually supportive relationship. 

## _**The Astrological Joumal**_

The Journal has produced six high quality full-colour journals within the year and received excellent f **e** There was particular public interest in the May 2020 Edition, which published a new translation of a major 2011 study on the history of pandemics by the French astrologer Andre Barbault. 

## _**Correlation**_ 

Volume 33 numbers I and 2 of _Correlation,_ for peer-reviewed critical research into astrology, were published containing reports of research evidence and new studies. There are plans to seek a grant to publish an anthology in the future. 

## _**The Astrology a11d Medicine Newsletter**_ 

has continued to publish its three issues per year. There are plans in hand to publish this in a digital format as well as a paper edition. 

## _**Library**_ 

Continues to assimilate many additional donated books and the extensive library catalogues are updated accordingly. The scanning project continues with the aim of preserving the content ofrare and out of print books that are in poor condition. They are available online to members. The online bookshop for the sale of second-hand astrology books continues to receive a very good response. Work on the archives of John Addey and Charles Harvey, as well RH Naylor, is planned for the future. 

## _**Conference and Event Days**_ 

Due to Coronavirus 19, our 52 **nd** Main Conference was offered online and streamed via digital platform. It was well attended by over 300 delegates, with 46 speakers giving over 65 presentations. This major event of the astrological year offered a high standard of techniques and research. It was attended by delegates from all the world's continents. 

Conference and Event Days provided online continue to draw together people from a wide range of astrological schools and other groups, as well as the general public. During lockdown, local groups continued to meet via digital platform, running increasingly successful events that reached astrologers and members of the public from all over the world. The resources of the Association have been a developing support in this expansion. 

The Association held a free on-line event in January 2021 with several speakers who voluntarily gave their time to discuss current affairs and the pandemic. Approximately 600 people registered for the event.
