group for the people of Wadhurst and surrounding areas.

Running Qulz Nights to raise money for the village and provlde
social interadon.
Support was also provided by the charlty to asslst the Parfsh

promoting local cultural knowledge, history, tradition, and community

materials) free of charge to enable the actlv5tles detalled above to be

On a quarterty basls (or on speclal r8qU8SI) and at the AGM, the trustees
wlll determine the beneficSarles and proportion of the available funds to
be awarded to local organisations through the charity's Helping Hand
Grant, based on the merits of applicatlons recelved. The decislon to
award Is made by a quorum of 70Yo of Ihe trustees exercising a slmple
majorlty.
In addltlon to slmple grants, the Charfty also awards 'a scholarship.
whlch Is deslgned to provlde financlal support to enhance the prospects
of an Individual.
The trustees may elect not to make any awards wlthin a financial year
and 'roll" the surplus to the followlng year, subject to the appllcatlons
made In that year.
All awards are voted on by the trustees and recorded as resolutlons.

Decorallon of the village wlth Chrlstmas Llghts and two Chrlstmas
Trees, plus operatlon of a Santa Sleigh throughout the village - all
undertaken by trustees and members as volunte6rs.
Managed and organlzed the Wadhurst Vlllage bonfire and
fireworks display in November 2023.
Ran quiz nights for the benefil of the Gommunity at a nonprofit
basis.
Support8d the parlsh Councll in providing a Coronalion Village
party.

Brlef statement of the
charltys pollcy on roserves
The trustees have agreed to malntaln a mlnlmum reserve of £15,000 for
the ne￿ financial, which is adequate to cover receipis and payments
fluctuations andlor event loss potential.
This reserve will be maintained going forward, with excess funds being
available for asset purchase, grants andlor local projects that have public
benefit. The trustees will continue lo review this policy annually.

figures and the addition of notes to the Accounts. These changes have
been Implemented lo ensure The Charity is reporting reliable,
appropriate, and relevant information about the finandal positlon,
financial performance and cash flow of The Charlty.
