The method of appointmcnt of the charity members is set out in the Church Rules. At The Bethel Independent and Evangelical Church, Clapham, North Yorkshire, the membership of the charity consists of the elders, deacons and members. The managing trust¢es arc responsible for making decisions on all matters of general oncern and importancc to the charity including deciding on how funds of the charity are to be spenL The managing trustees must hold at least 4 meetings in each 12 month period. Once a new managing trustce has been appointed they shall be provided with a copy the latest annual report and accounts of the church the constitution and church rnles any other relevant documentation relating to the PTOP¢rty of the hurch The propety owned by the clwity is held in the names of all the trustees. Objectives And activities The charity has considered the Commission's guidance on public benefit and, in particular. the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. The prAncipal objectives are: the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith primarily but not exclusively within Clapham, North Yorkshire and the surrounding area such other Ch￿itable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the managing trustees further the work of the charity Aehievements and perforniance Durftng the year the charity held regular church servi£zs and has 33 members. The charity continues to allow its facilities to be used free of charge for church members and the community. These include: Fellowship Meetingsl Bible Studies every other Tuesday (except for Summer months) Thursday Friends meet&ng in the afternoon, served with tea and cakes, and a gucst S￿aker (except for Summer months) Coffee Meetings every month on a Thursday evening (except for Summer months) Clapham Tots-Toddler Group every Friday (except school holidays) 5-1 l year ol(ts "Kmotion" group every 2 weeks on a Friday (except school holidays) 12-16 year olds 'El￿Oun￿r. group every 2 weeks on a Friday (except school holidays)

TRUSTEES REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 Other events that hav¢ been made available during th¢ year are: a free Harvest sUp￿T and guest speaker for anyone in the surrounding area a free Chrisknas meal and guest sp*aker for elderly people from the local community at the Chapel in December 2024 Coffee, Cake & Chat. A once a month coffee morning and drop off time for foodbank donations. Money is given to Olive Branch Foodbank. Lancaster & food donations are given to Skipton Foodbank Sportsreach soccer & netball school for children aged 7-15 in August 2024 An open day with children's craft activities. raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance Easter wreath n￿kIng workshop open to anyone from the surrounding area Coffee morning raising £110.56 for Macrnillan Cancer Support Chr&stmas events, including a Christmas celebration and singÉng at Settle Christtnas lights switch on event Financial review Total receipts on unrestricted funds were £41.533 and total expenses were £32,847. the net result for the year was a surplus of Teceipts over payments of £8,686. Adding bank balances brought fonvard at the kginning of the y¢ar. the balance Carried forward at 31, December 2024 on unrestricted funds totalled £26.166. The present level of reserves is adequate to support the present activities of the clwity, howev¢r this shall be r¢view¢d regularly by Ihe managing trustees. J E Townley
