Achievements and performance
Liver4Life (L4L), which set its initial goals as providing a free-phone
helpline and developing infomiation to help the recently diagnosed and
those affected by liver conditions has continued to grow and develop.
Continue to support 4 patient Sup[￿ groups
The L4L van was again a valuable asset in reathing communtties and we
urKlertcM)k work in Dorset and Hampshire. Working with UHD to provide
outreach into smaller rural communities, and we are planning outreach to
homeless and at risk groups across the South of England.
We are also vthing hard to build our social media profile.
The management team continue to create a strong brand and excellent
awareness to ensure L4L is identified as a very suttessful nationa5 liver
charity. Clear goals and targets have been developed jointly with the
trustees and the management team. and with the implem8ntats.on of
these strategies. L4L wll continue to grow and continue to be a key
inlluencer with the liver community.
Summary ofthe maln
achievements of the charlty
durlng the year
The tharities income was undermined again this year, but continued to
deliver on all seNices induding the helpline and patienl support groups.
The c￿FoUnderS continue to strive to ensure all services are delivered at
all times.

Section E
Financial review
The Trustees of Liver4Life believe that the charity should hold financial
reserves (the "Emergency Operating Reserve" _ EOR) because
i. it has rK) end(hvnwnt funding and is entirely dap8ndent for
income upon donor furKliNJ from year to year which is inevitably
subject to fluctuation and
it requires protection against and the abilty to continue operating
despite. catsstrophic or lesser but damaging events
The trustees believe that minimum level of the EOR should be the
]uivalent of six months. operating costs calculated and reviewed
annually and believe that the EOR should be built up to the desired level
in stages consistent the charivs overall financial position and its
need to maintsin and devel
tis charitable acts'vities.
