Section D Achievements and performance
During the year, No Child Without focused on strengthening the charity’s Summary of the main financial position after a period in which expenditure had exceeded achievements of the charity income. The Trustees therefore prioritised fundraising activity and careful during the year stewardship of the charity’s funds to ensure that No Child Without could continue to support children and young people in line with its charitable objectives.
The charity’s main charitable donation during the year was a grant of £1,000 to Plant Pots and Wellies, an inclusive local community initiative which supports children and adults with additional needs. The donation was made to help support children’s access to outdoor, horticultural and creative learning opportunities, including activities that promote confidence, sensory exploration, social interaction and engagement with the natural environment.
Although the charity’s activity during the year was more focused than in previous years, this approach enabled the Trustees to protect the charity’s financial sustainability while still making a meaningful contribution to a project directly benefiting children with additional needs. The Trustees remain committed to rebuilding income and identifying further opportunities to support children and young people in future years.
