SUPPORTING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY ENCEPHALITIS AND ABI FROM DIAGNOSIS AND BEYOND,2. PROVIDING FUNDING FOR RESEARCH INTO CHILDHOOD ENCEPHALITIS AND ABI INCLUDING CAUSES, SYMPTOMS AND POTENTIAL EARLY DIAGNOSIS,3. EDUCATING PROFESSIONALS AND PROVIDING ESSENTIAL TRAINING ON CHILDHOOD ENCEPHALITIS AND ABI FOR THOSE WHO SUPPORT CHILDREN WITH ENCEPHALITIS AND ABI,4. ADVANCING THE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF ENCEPHALITIS AND ABI IN CHILDREN FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, 5. KNOWLEDGE SHARING OF FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCES, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE TO FAMILIES, EDUCATORS, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS OR ANY PERSONS REQUIRING SUCH KNOWLEDGE.2.2. THE ABOVE PURPOSES ARE THE COMPANY’S CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE 2011 ACT. **Activities:** The Trust provides support to children and their families/carers affected by Encephalitis and the subsequent Acquired Brain Injury. We aim to raise awareness and fund research in to the causes, diagnoses & treatments of Encephalitis. We also fund educational literature along with training for families and professionals involved with the ongoing care and rehabilitation of affected children.
