Th¢ irus¢e¢s who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies A¢t 2006, present their report with
the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024. The trustees have adopted the provisions of
Awounting and Reporting by Charities.. Stalement of Recornmended Practice appli¢able to charities preparing their
accoiinis in a¢cordan¢e with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FILS 102)
(effective l January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aim8
To advance in lile and relieve needs of young people up to the age of18 through:
a) The provision of facilities which will ¢nabl¢ boys aDd girls resident in the London Borough of Hillingdon and the
Su￿ou￿dIllg area to play football ensuring that due attention is given to the physicaL personal and educational
development of such boy5 and girls and to the development and occupation of tbeir mtnds to improve their conditions of
b) Providing support and activities which d¢v¢lop their skills, capacilie5 and eapabilities to enable them to participate
in society as mature and responsible indTvidual5.
Public benefit
Ickenham Youth Football Club advances in life and T¢li¢v¢s needs of young peopl¢ up to the age of 18 years old within
the local area and also supports other local charities within the community.
FUTLIRE PLANS
The club ha5 an aim to build a club house and chanoing facilities for the use of all the members of Ickenham Youth
Football Club in the future and continues to engage wilh potential partners.
We will ¢ontinue to offer facilities and opportunities of football training of th¢ ¢urrent teams and to new younger players
in the comtnunity.

The charity is controlled by its governing th)cument. a deed of trust, and constitutes a limited company. limited by
guarantee, as defined by the Companies Aci 2006.
Recruitment and *ppointment of new trustees
Truslees are recruited mainly through the club and are usually parent5 of current and former players. When appointed
they are ¢xplaAned the basic principles of ¢harity and company law and their responsibilities within the Gompany.
Organisgtional structure
The Cliib has many positions. The Chairn]an is in ov¢rall charge of a Board which cornprises of an evoliring number of
Trustees and over 100 volunteers who ensure that football is delivered acros5 more than 40 teams. Trustees in¢lude
Welfare O￿lCerS. Football Development Officers, a Fixtures Se¢retary and a Governan¢¢ Offirer. Other key volunteers
include th¢ Club Secretary and Ihe Treasurer. a person who deals with Sponsorship & over5ee5 kit ordering, and a
person who looks after Social Media.

I report to the charity trust¢es on my e.xamination of the a¢£ounts of the Company for the year ended 31 March 2024.
RespDDsibilities And basi5 of report
As the charity's Irustees of the Company (and ￿s0 its dirertors for the purposes of company law) you are r¢%ponsible for
the preparation of the ac¢ounts in accordance Mryth the rquirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Acv).
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 A
and are eligibl¢ for independent examination. I report in respecl of Jny examination of your ¢harity's accounts as carried
oiit under Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 (Yhe 2011 Ad). In carrylng out my examination I have followed the
Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Art.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in conne¢tion with the
exatniuation giving me cause to believe:
accounting records werg not kept in respect of the Company as requir¢d by Section 386 of the 2006 Act. OT
the accounts do not accord with those records. or
the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any
requirement that the accounts give a t￿¢ and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination; or
the accounts have not been prepwed in accordance with the m¢thods and prineiples of the Ststement of
Recommended Pra¢tice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to ckwities preparing their accounts
in accordan¢e with the Fmancial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).
I have concerns and have come across no olher matters in comie¢tion with thc examination to which attention should
be dra￿ in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year end¢d
31 March 2024 accordance with Section 476 of th¢ Companies Art 2006.
The trystees acknowledge their responsibilities for

ensuring that the Charitable Company keeps accounting records that ¢omply with Sections J86 and 387 of the
Companies Act 2006 and
preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the slate OE affairs of the charitable company as
at the end of ga¢h financial y¢aT and of its surplus or d¢ficit for each financi&l year in accoTdance with the
requir¢mellts of Se¢tiong 394 and 395 and whi¢h otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act

Basis of preparing tbe fmAncig1 $tAtements
The finan¢ial statements of the charitabl¢ company. which is a public benefit gntity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance with the Charilies SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement
of Recommended Practice applicable to charities pr¢paring their ￿coUnts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019),,
Financial R¢porting Standard L02 'The Finanetal Reporting Standard applicable ITh the LTK and Repiiblic of
Ireland, and the Companies Act 2006. The fu￿nCIal statements have been pr¢pared under the historical cost
conventLOn.
Income
All income is recognised in the Ststsment of Financial Activities once thg Gharity has elltitlernent to the funds, it
is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are reoogniged as expenditure as soon as ther¢ is a leg81 or constructive obligation committing the
¢harity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required ID settlement and
th¢ amount of the obligation can be measureil reliably. Expenditure 15 accounted for on an accruals basis and has
been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly
attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent wtth the use of
resources.

The ch￿lty is exempt from corporation tax on it5 charitabl¢ artivities.
Fund accouDting
Unrestricted funds can be used in aceordance with th¢ charitable objectives at the discretion of the Irustees.
Reslri¢ted funds can only be used for particular restri¢t¢d purposes within the objeclives of the charity.

The flick Sherwood Fund
Nick Shenvood's Fund has been created wth donations given to his family. who have in turn donated them to
Ickenham Youth Football Club. in memory of him.
The intention is lo have a lasting memorial to Nick in the form of some kind of permanent sport5 facilities for
Ickettham Youth Football Club. Further fundraising is intended to help ensure this happens. It is thought that a
roorn, a stand or a wall could be dedicated to him.
