The United Reformed Church Broxbourne is a local church ofthe United Reformed Church in

OBJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
The charitable object of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith for the beneflt of
the public in 8ccordancewith the Scheme of Union ofthe United Reformed Chur¢h.The Church
provides benefit to the public in two main w8yS:
by providing public v￿lShIp. pastor81 carg and spiritual, moral end intellectual development.
both for the congreg8tSon and for members of the wider communty:
by promoting Christian values and service to the communrty by membèrs of the congregation.
for the benefit of individuals and society as a v4hole.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Full and det8iled reports on all activlties undertaken during th8 year are presented at the Annual
Church Meeting, and are 8V8ilable on request.
STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
The Elders Meeting. consi9ting of the elected Elders and the Minister. ovérsees the spiritual life
ofthe Church, and recommends to the Church Meeting 8rrangementsfor maintainingthe
buildings and looking afterfinances. Thechurch Meeting lof811 members wishingto attend)
gives guidance on the life 8nd wnrk of the Church. and is its fin81 decision-making body. The
Minister Is called tothe Church ty its member$ 8nd is in pa8tor81 charge ofthe Church.
Elders are elected by Church Meetingfrom among its members. The secretary and treesurer are
nominated annu811y by and from the Elders and elected by Church Meeting.

URC Broxbourne is 8 member of the North Lea Valley Pastorate, togetherwth the URCS in
Hertford and Cheshunt. Throughout 2023 the Pastorate's Minister was Revcl Mark Robinson.
