As 2025 progresses the trustees and all in the charity remain aware of decreasing funding for charities, as challenges in the public sector mean further cutbacks in many areas. The work done by the entire team during 2024125 remained focused on maximising the value offer from the charity whilst ensuring financial viability is always kept in mind. Trustees remain mindful of risks including succession planning and ensuring the charities work and offer is clearly communicated and known. Each of these issues is regularly scrutinised and discussed. The charity benefited from pro-bono support of Q5 Foundation as part of their Pop-up Consulting support with two facilitated sessions in De￿rnber 2024 and April 2025. As the year ends the issue with regard to pension payments being incorrectly made into the NHS Pension Scheme over a period of time has been resolved with full repayment being made to the charity. No employee was adversely affected by this issue. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Governing document The charity is controlled by its governing document, a deed of trust, and constitutes a limited company, limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006. Management The board of trustees remained strong with 10 trustees, up to the year end, with one further appointment on 22 April 2025 taking the total to 11. Page 6
