REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES for the year ended 31[st] December 2022
The trustees present their report and accounts for the year to 31[st] December 2022. The trustees have opted, under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Charities Act’), to prepare receipts and payments accounts
Objectives and Aims
The charity's objects are specifically restricted to the following:

(1) To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with stated doctrines.

(2) The prevention or relief of poverty in Asia or throughout the world by providing: grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

(3) The prevention or relief of poverty [or financial hardship] anywhere in the world by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
We are involved in working with organisations in Asia to provide medical relief, water aid, education, support for poor and needy people, building projects, farming projects, vocational training courses, and supporting Christian pastors and evangelists.
Public benefit
The Trustees have considered the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit and consider that the activities of the charity meet its charitable objectives and provide a benefit to the public.
Achievement and Performance
Financial review
The trustees consider the financial performance by the charity during the year to have been satisfactory.
The Statement of Financial Activities show net outgoing resources for the year of £74,552 (PY incoming £7,032)
The charity’s principal source of funding is from donations and fund raising. Fund raising efforts by all supporters include ladies’ lunches, curry evenings, photographic presentations, jumble sales, Christmas bazaar, craft sales and local school table-top sales.
The key objective of the charity is to relieve poverty in the poorest areas Asia by providing practical relief to those in need, hardship and distress.
The Trust is committed to their objectives and aims and as the work enlarges the Trustees have adopted any policy to help them in their aims and objectives.
Reserves policy
Unrestricted reserves held at the year-end amounted to £2,719 (PY £3,858)
Structure, Governance and Management Governing document
The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (converted) 17[th] May 2019
The directors of the company are also trustees for the purposes of charity law. The Trustees for the Charity were chosen carefully to draw on a breadth of experience from active local community leaders to managers of large retail outlets to give strength to the board on all aspects required to steer the charity and its aims forward.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Vision for Asia
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of Vision for Asia (the Trust) for the year to 31[st] December 2022.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I confirm that there are no other matters to which your attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS 1. Accounting Policies Basis of preparing the financial statements and assessment of going concern
These accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis as permitted by law for smaller charities.
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as a going concern.
2. Trustee remuneration and benefits
None of the trustees have been paid any remuneration or received any benefits from an employment with the charity or a related entity.
