REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES for the year ended 31[st] December 2022

The trustees present their report and accounts for the year to 31[st] December 2022. The trustees have opted, under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Charities Act’), to prepare receipts and payments accounts

Objectives and Aims

The charity's objects are specifically restricted to the following:

We are involved in working with organisations in Asia to provide medical relief, water aid, education, support for poor and needy people, building projects, farming projects, vocational training courses, and supporting Christian pastors and evangelists.

Public benefit

The Trustees have considered the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit and consider that the activities of the charity meet its charitable objectives and provide a benefit to the public.

Achievement and Performance

Financial review

The trustees consider the financial performance by the charity during the year to have been satisfactory.

The Statement of Financial Activities show net outgoing resources for the year of £74,552 (PY incoming £7,032)

The charity’s principal source of funding is from donations and fund raising. Fund raising efforts by all supporters include ladies’ lunches, curry evenings, photographic presentations, jumble sales, Christmas bazaar, craft sales and local school table-top sales.

The key objective of the charity is to relieve poverty in the poorest areas Asia by providing practical relief to those in need, hardship and distress.

The Trust is committed to their objectives and aims and as the work enlarges the Trustees have adopted any policy to help them in their aims and objectives.

Reserves policy

Unrestricted reserves held at the year-end amounted to £2,719 (PY £3,858)

Structure, Governance and Management Governing document

The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (converted) 17[th] May 2019

The directors of the company are also trustees for the purposes of charity law. The Trustees for the Charity were chosen carefully to draw on a breadth of experience from active local community leaders to managers of large retail outlets to give strength to the board on all aspects required to steer the charity and its aims forward.
