## **PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH**

Health is one of the basic foundations and make-up of an individual. Helping others, particularly the health-deprived and disadvantaged people will help them get onto their feet and be able to thrive. Helping to grow healthy individuals will create and promote a healthy world.

**TCC’s Concert for Life Series** have been a success in helping our hundreds of beneficiaries who need financial assistance for their medical needs. From its launching in 2013, 32 concerts have raised more than Php16,0000,000.00 These monies raised were directly used by beneficiaries and no amount are submitted to TCC. TCC funds all the expenses such as talents, hall rents, ticket productions and others. Beneficiaries sell tickets and use whatever money they raise from selling tickets. Sponsors and TCC chapters and partners around the are the sources of funding for this big project. The current COVID-19 Pandemic that struck the world has unfortunately stopped the project.

This year, TCC organised Concert for Life 32 which benefited several beneficiaries. Also, we are continuously active on our social media platform for this purpose.

**TCC’s Project Tree:** TCC is also concerned with the environment in relation to its aim in maintaining a good health. Volunteers and its partner, Baguio Integrated Junior Police continued to maintain the ecological site in Baguio City that TCC adapted. Volunteers planted about 500 pine trees to the adapted site and is being maintained up to date. The site holds water source for the city.

**TCC’s Project Tree-** TCC and its partner Baguio Integrated Junior Police have conducted the 4[rth] Clean Up and maintenance drive in June 2022. They cleaned up the area and replaced the trees that did not survive.

## **RELIEF OF POVERTY**

## **ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION**

We believe that poverty is one of the reasons of environmental degradation and the developing chaos in the society. Helping alleviate poverty and giving hopes to disadvantaged people thru provision of needed health services, livelihood, education, and community development will help create a prosperous and peaceful society and making the world a better dwelling place for humanity.

Every individual has the right to education. This will give them the opportunity for learning, development, and empowerment. It is our belief that helping out for the provision of education will give a room for people, most especially the economically disadvantaged, to improve and develop their personality, career, and everything that contributes to personal well-being and as community.

Meanwhile, while we hav not organised as many fundraising as the previous years some TCC Sponsors abroad (Cordillerans working abroad) continued to support those in need, including our scholars.

January **2023**

**ONGOING PROGRAM-** We have continued to support our scholars for the school year 20212022. Individual sponsors and TCC Chapters continued to provide support to our scholars. In spite of challenges after the pandemic and the current market crisis, both scholars and sponsors continued to make their commitments. Support given to the scholars ranges from sponsoring their tuition fees up to providing their school needs for home/ module schooling. Some scholars have also graduated this school year.

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), mostly Cordillerans, based in different countries made a remarkable contribution in supporting scholars. Financially deprived students come to TCC to appeal for financial assistance. TCC then makes the appeal to TCC members and supporters who are willing to support these students. Almost in all instances, appealing students always find an OFW or a local member of the community who are generous to support them. TCC and its supporters have already supported almost a hundred students. Most of them have finished their education and are settled in their dreamed career and are supporting their families. TCC continues to support promising students as it strongly believes its members and supporters are always ready to give support to the Youngs who are the hope of the future generations.

After the pandemic, there has been continuous flow of OFWs and local donors who have been sending their financial support for students who come to seek support for financial aid for their education. TCC is proud to be a medium between generous donors and the students who are having financial difficulties for their educational needs. The funds though do not come thru TCCUK accounts.

**OPERATION HOPE:** This is one of TCC’s remarkable projects. TCC also responds to calamities during the calamities. Our sponsors, volunteers, chapters and organisation partners continued giving their commitment and support to our causes however challenging the situation during such situations. During the pandemic, TCC and its volunteers and supporters were able to provide humanitarian works to support communities who are affected.

During this period, TCC was not able to organise relief activities due to lack of funds and fundraising initiatives. Most of our funds are now to pay the COVID-19 loan.

## **ADVANCEMENT OF ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE**

Each individual always seeks for its belongingness. Helping people to maintain and take pride of their arts, culture, and heritage helps in the achievement of well-being. Collectively, maintaining and preserving arts, culture and heritage contributes to the celebration of world’s diversity and giving privilege for future generations to experience and see.

## **ONGOING PROJECTS:** ARTS, MUSICAL and CULTURAL SHOWS

Apart from the Concert for Life Series which also features music talents, TCC, thru its supportive chapters, volunteers, supporters and donors, is also organising events that features arts and cultural diversity. TCC again held the Binnadangan Cultural Festival in October 2019 to feature the Cordilleran Culture and their ways of leaving.
