’ Chairman s Report 2021-2022 

‘Firstly, thank you all for coming along today. 

It’s not been an easy year for any of us.  Bringing the group back together has been no mean feat and continues to be a challenge. 

Trustees and instructors having to cope with new enforced paperwork and regulations following the Covid pandemic, which unfortunately is not going to go away in a hurry keeping us on our toes at all times. Keeping volunteer numbers along with client numbers up to date along with new routines for all does not come easily. 

However, the support has been great along with the support from our local community which has helped Chiverton to survive and move forward. Many groups throughout the country have had to close, so well done to all those involved with Chiverton. 

Our ponies have thankfully remained healthy helping us give pleasure to the cliental for which we all work.  At this point I would like to thank Adrian Richards for allowing us to graze the ponies free of charge for the whole pandemic, Beverly Huxtable, Christine Voyce and Helen Raisbeck for sharing the care of our ponies on a daily basis.  Arthur Bell our farrier and Jenna Elliot our vet for visiting the ponies in the fields as and when necessary. 

It gives me great pleasure when I see you all pulling together as a team. Congratulations must go to the new riding coaches who have obtained their certificates this year.  Hopefully we will also have some new driving coaches already in training. 

I would like to add that there is a lot of work which goes on in. the background with the trustees and others for which no one ever sees, without it Chiverton would be a very different place.  So therefore I would like to give a special thank you to my fellow trustees who are always on call when we have a problem.  Even interrupting them when they are on personal holidays. 

May we continue as a successful group giving pleasure to all within RDA and those connected to the large family we endeavour to safely hold together’.
