**Morecambe Community Church Annual Report 2024/2025** MCC Chair’s Annual report 2024 – 2025 This year has seen amazing growth at Morecambe Community Church! We find that we have more interaction with the congregation due to the new style of preaching we have embraced. We find that people love to interact and work in small groups. This coupled with our online presence has encouraged the preaching team! We have worked through a great series “Practicing the way” by John Mark Comer. We have found this book to be very helpful in our personal lives, as well as our spiritual wellbeing and how we share with our congregation. We also now run a successful small group on a Tuesday evening. We read and discuss aspects of the book and how this can impact our personal lives, relationships, and personal faith. Our weekly youth group run through Urban Saints has proved popular with families in the local area! We run weekly with a rotation team who are passionate about sharing Christ with youth. There have been many different activities running, including making food, attending events, walking, hiking and general games and fun! The youth group is slowly growing and also plays an active volunteer role for West End Impact. The young people in the youth group tend their garden, harvest and then use the produce they have grown. The group find this fun and are often proud that they have grown the veg themselves! Morecambe community church also continues to offer practical and emotional support to the congregation and the wider community. We feel that this is not only part of our “Dream” but it is an integral part of building God's Kingdom. Our church Motto is Faith, Hope and Love, experience, expressed and inspire. We will continue to put God and our motto at the forefront of all our work and prayers. For the board of trustees, Mrs Rachel Clarkson (Chair) ## Treasurer’s Annual Report 2024/2025 As in previous years, our church offerings continue slowly to diminish due; to the cancellation of some standing orders from people no longer attending the Sunday morning church services. Though we still receive a couple of monthly donations from people who have not attended for more than a year. The attendance at our church services is therefore between 20 – 30 per week with no new signing ups by member of the congregation to pay their donations through standing bank orders or to increases their donations this year. Though our accounts are still healthy enough to continue for a few more years at the moment. In this financial year the church has had a continuous running loss of £41 per week almost £30 per week more than the previous year. We have therefore been unable to increase our pastor’s stipend for the second year in a row! We will be looking in the coming year, to see further reductions in costs in order to stabilise our finances more and to encourage new and greater giving, God willing.
