## **Morecambe Community Church annual report 2022-23**

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Morecambe Community Church moved online - live in groups and live on YOUTUBE. While we have not continued with live online group meetings, we have continued to stream live during our service. We find that members of our congregation that are unable to attend enjoy watching online and continue to feel involved. We also know that people watch from all over the country and even abroad. We have on average 15 - 20 people who join us online.

We have continued to engage the congregation within our services. We have found that people enjoy breaking up into small groups to share their views. Not only does this mean that people are able to feel part of the service, it also strengthens the relationships and feeling of community between the congregation. As leaders we believe, and encourage, people to share their views with the wider group. We have people from all walks of life attend our services and it is important that the people who are considered the “least in society” feel welcome and included as much as everyone else. We have on average 30 - 40 attendees per week.

Morecambe community church has continued to build and strengthen the relationship with Capernwray Bible school. We welcome international students on outreach and placements throughout the year. We find that our congregation enjoys the diversity that the students bring and we hope that we leave a little bit of Morecambe Community Church with them.

We have also partnered with Urban Saints to offer a weekly youth group aimed at 11-16 year olds. We have started small and are slowly building our weekly numbers. Currently we have around 5-8 young people who attend regularly. We are really enjoying this new relationship with Urban Saints and the opportunities this brings to young people in the local area. Currently this group is led by an amazing group of passionate volunteers who not only want to support youth but to share their passion for Jesus in a practical and engaging way!

Morecambe community church also continues to offer practical and emotional support to the congregation and the wider community. We feel that this is not only part of our “Dream” but it is an integral part of building God's Kingdom.

Our church Motto is Faith, Hope and Love, experience, expressed and inspire. We will continue to put God and our motto at the forefront of all our work and prayers.

For the board of trustees,

Mrs Rachel Clarkson

## **Morecambe Community Church Treasurer’s Annual Report 2022/2023**

After last year’s restart following Covid closures and the expenses of new furniture and equipment, this year has been less demanding on the church’s finances, though we still have a continuing depletion of our resources. We will be looking in the coming year, to see if we can reduce costs in order to stabilise our finances further and to encourage greater giving.

Mr Ian George Swash Morecambe Community Church Treasurer
