ANANaAL REVIEW
SAIL'S fundlng Is secure untll 2027 wlth some fundlng confimied untS12026. Along With other small
charlty or8anisatlons, SAIL Is rellant on grant fundlng for our core ser¥lce.
SAI¥ wlth the ald of sound financlal mana8ement and the support of the
staff and volunteers, generated a poSI￿Ve financial outcome for the perlod.
The core funding sources for SAIL are currentty the Mtnistry of Justlce, The Natlonal Lottery Communlty
Fund and Derby and Derbyshire IC8. It Is the lon8-temi alm of SAIL whlch Is partlcularly vulnerable to
cuts In statutory fundln& to bulld up unrestrlcted funds (the free reserves of the organlsatlon)
equlvalent to three months average runnln8 costs. In this financlal year. three months runnln8 costs
would be £92,347.
The charity had £409479 in reserves on 31st March 2024 of which £202719 were unrestricted.
The Trustees feel that this level of unrestrltted reserves Is sufficlent to meet the demands of
our reserves pollcy.
