The Trustees confirm that the annual report and consolidated financial statements of the Charity comply with current statutory requirements, the requirements of the Charity's governing document and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP), applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2015) as amended by Update Bulletin 1 (effective 1 January 2015).

A full list of trustees can be found below.

Risk Management

Principal Activities
The principal activities of the Trust are focused on making a difference, by assisting the ongoing work of Life Ministries Christian Centre, which is involved with the marginalised, poor, and disadvantaged within East, Central and South Africa and beyond. The Trustees provide professional advice and support through ongoing relationship with those working locally within LMCC at the grass roots of the Ministry. They also verify the correct use of all funds donated by Life Ministries Trust in line with the aims and objectives of both Trusts.
Acknowledgements
The Trust relies on The Lord’s provision and the generosity of individuals and organisations that stand with us to support the ongoing work of LMCC. The Trustees are grateful to everyone who has contributed in so many ways throughout this year enabling the Trust to operate effectively. Special thanks go to the many supporters who have continued to support the Trust so generously over many years enabling this valuable work to continue.
Report
We give thanks to God that the number of supporters and child sponsors has increased through this year enabling the ongoing donations to LMCC to continue.
We are pleased to confirm that, as in previous years. our expenses were less than 0.01% of revenue; resulting in over 99.99% of all donations being used effectively supporting the ongoing work of Life Ministries Christian Centre. At the end of this financial year the Trust had £10,300 cash in hand having donated £126,911 to LMCC. These funds were allocated as follows: 39% for Kairos Schools, 11% to Kairos Healthcare, 13% for Child Sponsorship, 15% to support the Ministry, 9.5% Kairos Farm, 4% Building fund KMC, 2.5% Personal support, 1% supporting Apostolic travel, 1% enabling Leadership training and 4% from Kairos Friends for the most needy areas within LMCC.
The LMCC Leadership training programme presently has 22 students in their 1st year of training. The Kairos schools achieved the best results so far with many delighted students and parents. Kairos Healthcare Services continue their great work within the community and have benefited from new equipment and building improvements this year. Two of our trustees visited early in 2024 and reported that everything was going well, the people were in great heart and recovering well from the ravages of the pandemic, although, economically everything is still very challenging..
Regular online Trustees “Zoom” meetings have been held with the CEO of LMCC joining the meetings providing accountability and reassuring the Trustees of the progress withing the work of the Ministry.
Once again thanks go to Mr David Bonfield for his assistance with the auditing of the LMT accounts and to everyone who continues to pray for LMT/LMCC and to contribute so generously, without whom this work would not be able to continue.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner’s statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention examiner's statement (other than that disclosed below *)
-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements:
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act
-
have not been met; or
-
to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
