Principal Activities

The principal activities of the Trust are focused on making a difference, by assisting the ongoing work of Life Ministries Christian Centre, which is involved with the marginalised, poor, and disadvantaged within East, Central and South Africa and beyond. The Trustees provide professional advice and support through ongoing relationship with those working locally within LMCC at the grass roots of the Ministry. They also verify the correct use of all funds donated by Life Ministries Trust in line with the aims and objectives of both Trusts.

Acknowledgements

The Trust relies on The Lord’s provision and the generosity of individuals and organisations that stand with us to support the ongoing work of LMCC. The Trustees are grateful to all those who have contributed in so many ways throughout these incredibly challenging times, enabling the Trust to operate effectively. Special thanks go to the many supporters who continue to donate so generously throughout the year towards this valuable work.

Report

During this last year, which was greatly affected by the Covid 19 pandemic, we give thanks to God that the number of supporters and child sponsors has increased enabling the ongoing donations to LMCC to continue making a real difference in supporting, educating, providing health support, and feeding the poor and marginalised during these very challenging times.

We are pleased to confirm that, again. our expenses were less than 0.01% of revenue; resulting in over 99.99% of all donations being used effectively supporting the ongoing work of Life Ministries Christian Centre. At the end of this financial year the Trust had £7,014 cash in hand having donated £87,905 to LMCC. These funds were allocated as follows: 40.07%

for Ministry use, 21.24% for Health Care,18.59% for Child Sponsorship, 7.08% for Education, 5.28 for distribution by the LMCC CEO, 3.71% for Agriculture and finally 4.03% was received from Kairos Friends for allocation where there is most need within the various projects.

LMCC worked hard to deliver some Leadership training this year and the timing of the course was extended due to the pandemic. The generous support from LMT doners enabled them to make an incredible difference providing food and support and alleviating suffering within their areas of influence. The Education programs were also disrupted, as were the provision of Health Services, but Kairos Medical Centre and Kairos Hospital managed to stay open throughout the year. Construction of an accommodation block in the Hospital grounds for the medical staff started thanks to the great generosity of our supporters. We give thanks to God for protecting the LMCC team; while some have tested positive for the Corona Virus, to date, everyone has either recovered or is making a good recovery.

Due to Covid 19, the Trustees were again unable to visit East Africa and we are hopeful that some may be able to visit sometime in 2022, Covid 19 dependant.

Regular online Trustees “Zoom” meetings have been held with the CEO of LMCC joining the meetings providing accountability and reassuring the Trustees of the progress withing the work of the Ministry.

Once again thanks go to Mr David Bonfield for his assistance with the auditing of the LMT accounts and to everyone who continues to pray for LMT/LMCC and contributes so generously, without whom this work would not be able to continue.
