In a normal year, the Beaver, Cub & Scout sections meet on a weekly basis throughout the school term times to have fun & learn a wide variety of different things in a safe environment.

The sections do traditional scouting activities like fire lighting, pioneering, camping, hiking, map reading and general enjoyment of immersion in the outdoors.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

At the same time they learn about being part of a team, and, as they progress through the sections, about leading, teaching & taking responsibility for the younger members of their Patrol or Six (in Cubs).

In addition the trustees ensure the scout hut is maintained and improved for future generations.

The hut is also used by the Buxton Explorer Scout section and available for other community groups.
