detectl¢)n of fraLKI rests wlth Lw)th management and those charged wlth govemance of the charltable

Our approach was as follows.,
We obtained an understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements appllcable to the
company and considered that the most slgnificant are the Companies Act 2006, the Chadtles
Act 2011, UK financial rewting Stsndards as isS￿d by the Flnanclal Reportln8 CourKil and UK
tsxation leg151atlon.
We obtained an understanding of how the chafitable CoMp￿Y complles wlth these
requirements by discussions wtth management and those tharged with governance.
We assessed the risk of material mIsst*e￿nt of the financial ststements. including the risk of
material misststement due to fraud and how it mi8ht occur, by holdin8 discussion5 With
management and those char8ed V￿th govemance.
We inquired of mana8eN*nt those ch¥ged wlth 80¥eM￿Ce as to ary kncwdn in5tance5 of
r￿￿-¢0￿￿11an(e or suspected nonfompliance with laws and re8ulations.
Based on this urKlerstandin& we designed speciffc appropriate audit procedures to identify
instsrKes of non"complrance with laws and re8ulation& This included making enquirie5 of
management and those charged wrth govemarKe and obtaining addrtional Corroborative
evidence as required.
There are inherent limitations in the audit procedure5 described above. We are less likely to become
aware of instances of non-compliance with law5 and regulations that are not closely related to events
and trnnsactions reflected in the financial ststements. Also. the risk of not detecting a ￿terIal
misstatement due to fraud is higherthan the risk of not detectin8 one ￿SuIting from error, as fraud may
