Fundraising Events organised by 353:
A Rockaoke event was organised by the Trust and held at a local Rugby Club. It was attended by 68 people. It raised before costs £2 013
Fundraising Events organised by others:
13 3[rd] party events were held on our behalf which we know of, together with on-line donations raised £40 169
Events included:

Team ‘Dig Deeper’ event which raised £20 500

Conrad’s Ride raised £8 464

The Diana Startin Foundation donated £5 000

The Eagle pub in Warwick raised £363
Specific Donations of funds include:
Payment of £22 800 for phycologist to support individual veteran cases. Donation of £746 to pay for driving lessons for an Afghan interpreter who worked directly with the Men of 3 Para and Checkpoint Quadrat and is a veteran resettled into the UK.
A grant of £750 to a 3 Para veteran to help with health issues.
The future of the Trust:
The Trustees were well advised by the Charity Commission when establishing the Trust, to ensure that we could continue our endeavours into the future recognising the ever changing economic environment. While the profile of fund raising events and the sums raised are now varying from the original pattern during and immediately after the Afghanistan conflict and withdrawal, the trustees have ensured that enough funds exist to support our causes for future years.
We are always grateful and humbled by those that raise funds for the Trust and careful how and when we spend those hard earned donations, but always conscious of why we established the trust and who we need to support.

Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of The 353 Trust accounts
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 16 September 2024, which are set out on pages 01 to 02.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act

to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act

to state whether particular matters have come to my attention
Basis of independent examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner’s statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act

to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act
have not been met; or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
