Annual re ort of the trustees of Walton Parish Nursin For the ear to 318t March to 2024 1. Structure, management and governing document a. The trustees who held office in the year and up to the date of this report and the governing document are detailed in the charity information on page 2. b. New trustees are appointed by the participating churches., the minister of each participating church is an ex-officio trustee. c. New trustees are inducted by the existing trustee body. 2. Objectives and activities The main objectives of the charity as set out in its governing document are: a. The relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people residing permanently or temporarily in and around Walton, Felixstowe, by the provision of Parish Nurses. b. To advance the Christian religion in and around Walton, Felixstowe for the benefit of the public through the provision of wholistic care which addresses the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of the local community. 3. Achievements and performance The main achievements of the charity in the accounting period were: a. Employing two part-time members of staff: a Parish Nurse and a Mental Health Nurse. During the year, our Mental Health Nur8e retired, but a suitable replacement was made. b. Maintaining a sufficient number of volunteers serving with the Parish Nursing Team. c. Serving the Walton community by the provision of home visits, foot and eg care, chair-based exercise classes and other services that fulfil our objectives. 4. Financial review The policy of the charity is to maintain 6 months of expenditure as free reserves. As at 3181 March 2024, the free reserves were £37,716 {2023 £36,492) which meant that the policy was achieved. b. During the year to 3181 March 2024, there was a net inflow of funds of £1,224 (2023 - £2,867). 5. Funds a. The charity has a general fund, but no restricted funds. 6. Public benefit statement a. The trustees have considered the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefits. The trustees are satisfied that the reported activities for the year show that a good level of public benefit is being delivered. Page 3

The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act)) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts (under section 145 of the Charities Act) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Direction8 given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act)., and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Ba818 of the Independent examlner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters, The procedures undertaken do not provide all tha evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view ' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the Statements below. Independent examlnerf8 Statsmont In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention.. (1) which give8 me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirement8 of the Charities Act have not béen met. or (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
