## **Third Sector Renewables (TSR) - Registered Charity Number: 1151947** 

## **Financial Overview** 

- **Turnover for 2022-23:** £129,665, a significant increase from £16,170 in the previous year. 

- **Funding Sources:** The increase in turnover is attributed to match-funded donations from The Aviva Community Fund and Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund, alongside contributions from 290 supporters through our 'Climate Action - Together For Implementation' Crowdfunder campaign. 

- **Reserves:** At the end of the financial year, TSR held £6,048 in unrestricted funds, maintained for contingencies as per the charity's Reserve Policy.

TSR is committed to educating the public on renewable energy technologies (solar, wind) and promoting environmental conservation through various community-driven initiatives. Our activities include renewable energy promotion, energy conservation awareness, support for climate action projects, tackling eco-anxiety, and assistance in renewable energy installations. 

## **Key Activities and Achievements** 

## Promotion of Renewable Energy and Conservation 

TSR emphasises the importance of renewable, non-fossil fuel burning, energy sources and energy conservation, offering advice on energy-efficient practices and promoting sustainable energy solutions. 

## Support for Climate Action Projects 

We organised projects to foster biodiversity, mitigate climate change impacts, and promote sustainable practices like tree planting, eco-somatics and waterway depolluting. 

## Community Engagement and Events 



Our interactive popup E(nergy)-Zone events serve as educational platforms for renewable energy awareness.  We brought hundreds of people together from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland through community consultation and climate action. 

## Tackling Eco-Anxiety 

We engaged the public in environmental work, promoting mental well-being through outdoor activities. 

## Renewable Energy Installations 

We supported the public in utilising government grants for energy-efficient home and building upgrades.

1. **Growing Together – Clanabogan Park Initiative** : A tree planting initiative in Northern Ireland focusing on biodiversity enhancement and carbon reduction through the planting of native trees and plants. 

2. **Practice at the Garden – Dance Artist Residency** : An artistic residency at the Story Garden in London, blending dance, ecology, and community engagement with a focus on environmental awareness and participatory art. 

3. **Kinaesthetic Walks & Listening Practices** : An ecosomatic practice exploring silent walking and receptive listening to nature, combined with creative interaction and environmental stewardship activities. 

4. **Divine Ridiculous – "Song of the Waters"** : An initiative in Dartmoor to clean and re-wild a reservoir, incorporating community engagement through environmental work and artistic expressions. 

5. **UPSTREAM/I FYNY’R AFON** : A collaborative workshop in Pembrokeshire, Wales focusing on embodied practices and environmental care, integrating movement and ecological awareness along a local river. 

6. **Environmental Arts & Eco Somatic Residency** : A residency on Isle Martin, Scotland, merging environmental arts, eco-somatic practices, and climate action, emphasizing local collaboration and environmental stewardship. 

7. **Waterway Pickers Staines** : A community project in Staines for cleaning local rivers, engaging the community in environmental art and activism, and fostering local ecological awareness. 

8. **Butoh in Nature with Vangeline** : A dance residency in Yorkshire focusing on Butoh dance in natural settings, integrating environmental care activities such as litter collection and habitat creation.
