The CIO's objects are restricted to the fostering of the public's knowledge, experience and appreciation of chamber music and thereby the advancement of the arts, culture and education for the public benefit, including by means of: (a) organising an annual public festival of chamber music concerts in the town of Lewes, East Sussex, and the surrounding area; **Summary of the objects of the** (b) organising public concerts of chamber music elsewhere in England **charity set out in its** and Wales; **governing document** (c) organising performances of chamber music for school children in Lewes and the surrounding area; and (d) providing opportunities to students of music who have demonstrably excelled in their art to perform in concerts of chamber music alongside professional musicians.

The charity has organised, for the public benefit and in order to advance **Summary of the main** the arts and culture and the public appreciation of chamber music, a **achievements of the charity** chamber music festival in and around the town of Lewes in East Sussex **during the year** (the ‘Festival’). 

The 2021 Festival went ahead with appropriate Covid-19 measures in place and reduced audience numbers. The 2022 Festival is planned to go ahead with a return to pre-Covid arrangements.
