1 ATHLOS Annual Meeting of Trustees On-line 28 January 2026 Minutes of Meeting ## **1. Present** Neil Carter Katie Holmes Peter Radford ## **2. Minutes of previous AGM, 31 January 2024, were accepted** ## **3. Trustees** The issue of finding other trustees was raised by PR. No new names were put forward. KH stressed the importance of two trustees having access to Athlos’s charity commission account, in case NC was incapacitated. NC to action. ## **4. Financial position** The finances were recorded as thus: 30 November 2024 – £14,085.83 28 November 2025 – £13,482.30 There was then a discussion over whether to leave Barclays due to the inability of KH to access the account as a second trustee and also because of an inability to gain interest on Athlos’s account. KH drew attention to domain accounts linked to Athlos and the need to reduce these to 2 or 3 in order to reduce our costs to einfinity. (It is estimated that each domain costs £60 per year to maintain). KH to look at alternative banks and contact einfinity. Potential funding was discussed with possible partners, including World Athletics. ## **5. Future Directions** There was a wide-ranging discussion on future direction of Athlos, including website design. PR recounted how part 1 of the Athlos mission was to rescue at risk texts, and that mission was largely complete. He then posed the question do we continue with this mission or change it? The discussion raised two main points. 1. To acquire new primary source publications. 2 PR offered the 1947 AAA handbook and the original rules of modern athletics as possible sources. NC agreed that primary sources would be a good direction. ## 2. Women’s athletics Both KH and PR were keen to follow this direction Website home page – KH offered to make some changes; PR agreed, pointing out it was over 10 years old and needed refreshing. ## **6. Risks** KH to send out a list of risks These to include financial; copyright; technical – especially with reference to old software which may stop the website working.
