Organisation and hosting of a Community Rowing Regatta In normal years a Spring and Summer and Regatta is organised and hosted by the Hounslow Community Rowing Trust. The regatta is attended by state and independent schools who are invited to attend as well as the Team Keane Sculling School junior squad. The regatta is an event created for juniors to have an entry level to competing in rowing including beginners, an opportunity for which is not offered anywhere else in London. Subsidising of costs of rowing courses The charity provides subsidies towards the cost of attending rowing courses to those in the community who could not otherwise afford to. The rowing courses are geared towards learning to row or development of rowing skills. Purchase of rowing equipment The charity raises funds which it uses when appropriate to buy equipment to be used by those who attend the community rowing club, with an emphasis on pupils from state schools. |
