The<br>regatta is attended by state and independent<br>schools who are invited to attend as well as<br>the Team Keane Sculling School junior<br>squad. The regatta is an event created for<br>juniors to have an entry level to competing in<br>rowing including beginners, an opportunity<br>for which is not offered anywhere else in<br>London.<br>**Subsidising of costs of rowing courses**<br>The charity provides subsidies towards the<br>cost of attending rowing courses to those in<br>the community who could not otherwise<br>afford to.<br>The rowing courses are geared towards<br>learning to row or development of rowing<br>skills.<br>**Purchase of rowing equipment**<br>The charity raises funds which it uses when<br>appropriate to buy equipment to be used by<br>those who attend the community rowing<br>club, with an emphasis on pupils from state<br>schools.|

## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|At £25,556 the charity’s income and<br>expenditure is £1,149 higher than in the<br>previous year. This reflects the resumption<br>of the principal fund raising activities<br>(Regattas) as well as a significant increase<br>in individual donations. The resumption of<br>competitive rowiing was reflected in higher<br>race entries revenue (and costs).<br>The Charity focused on ensuring the<br>provision of support to enable young adults<br>to continue to row and to increase the<br>amount of funding from grant making bodies<br>There was no repeat of the Emergency<br>Lottery funding of £10,000 from the previous<br>year and the charity made a £14,000<br>contribution to the set up costs of our<br>delivery partner, Team Keane’s, new rowing<br>base in Brentford|
