**Community Rowing Regatta**
In normal years a Spring, Summer and
Autumn Regatta is organised and hosted by
the Hounslow Community Rowing Trust. The
regatta is attended by state and independent
schools who are invited to attend as well as
the Team Keane Sculling School junior
squad. The regatta is an event created for
juniors to have an entry level to competing in
rowing including beginners, an opportunity
for which is not offered anywhere else in
London.
**Subsidising of costs of rowing courses**
The charity provides subsidies towards the
cost of attending rowing courses to those in
the community who could not otherwise
afford to.
The rowing courses are geared towards
learning to row or development of rowing
skills.
**Purchase of rowing equipment**
The charity raises funds which it uses when
appropriate to buy equipment to be used by
those who attend the community rowing
club, with an emphasis on pupils from state
schools.|

## **Financial Review**

financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|At £25,556 the charity’s income and
expenditure is £1,149 higher than in the
previous year. This reflects the resumption
of the principal fund raising activities
(Regattas) as well as a significant increase
in individual donations. The resumption of
competitive rowiing was reflected in higher
race entries revenue (and costs).
The Charity focused on ensuring the
provision of support to enable young adults
to continue to row and to increase the
amount of funding from grant making bodies
There was no repeat of the Emergency
Lottery funding of £10,000 from the previous
year and the charity made a £14,000
contribution to the set up costs of our
delivery partner, Team Keane’s, new rowing
base in Brentford|

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts cartied out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I
