The Direttors, all of whom served as Trustees, are listed on page 3, and this, together with the other statutory information, forms part of this report. Strurture Governance and Mana ement UMN Support Trust {'UMNST'} was incorporated on 18 September 2012 and is governed by the Articles and Memorandum of Assoclation that were put in place at the time of incorporation. There have been no changes to the Articles and Memorandum of Association since incorporation. A minimum of two, and up to five, Trustees can be appointed by the members (currently Christopher Mark Galpin, Joel Hafvenstein, and Peter Lockwood). Unlted Mission to Nepal {"UMN"I can nominate UMNST Trustees provided that the nomlnated Trustees do not form a majority and the total number of Trustees does not exceed ten or be less than three. David Rodgers and Caroline Trimble are the current Trustees nominated by UMN. New Trustees would be expected to have some experience in the operation of charities, development work to alleviate the root causes of poverty and preferably some understanding of Nepal and the needs of the poorer and poorest communities. In the reporting year two trustees resigned: Dhana Lama resigned effective 19 August 2025 th and Alan Penn resigned effective 18 September 2025. The remaining tru5tee5 are extremely 8rateful to both Dhana and Alan for their years of faithful service. Ob'erts Activities and Public Beneflt UMNST is an independent Christian charity focusing on addressing poverty primarily in Nepal by, but not solely, promoting the charitable purposes of UMN, an International Non- Government Or8anisation that has worked only in Nepal for 71 years to alleviate povertv. Support will be given to specific community-based poverty alleviation programmes undertaken by UMN'S Nepali partner or8anisations by publicising, promoting and financially supporting those programmes. UMN'S contribution of advising and field monitoring of the projects and simultaneously capacity building the partner or8anisations will also be included in the budget of the programmes that UMNST supports. In addition, UM NST will publicise, promote, and support the work of UMN Medical and Development Trust IUMN MDTI. UMN MDT is a Nepali legal entity which was founded in 2020 to hold and coordinate the work of two rural mission hospitals in Tansen and Okhaldhunga. These were founded in 1954 and the early 19605 and were previously part of the UMN group of organisations. UMN MDT will also undertake development work. These grants consisted of designated and undesignated funds: undesignated funds are used at the discretion of MDT. The vast majority of the funds this year were designated. We had a significant response to requests to support Tansen Hospital purchase a CT scanner which is seen in the grant of £254,900 to Tansen for general expenses and equipment below. Grants to Unlted Mlsslon to Nepal (UMN): The amounts granted to UMN during the year was £46,632.73 as follows: £14,500 IMUSTI Project The Mugu Disaster Recovery Support IMUSTI Projert, implemented by the United Mission to Nepal IUMNI in partnership with the local implementing partner Gramin Samudaik Sanstha IGSSI, was designed to enhance disaster preparedness, response, and recovery capacitie5 in Soru Rural Municipality IRMI, Mugu District, following severe landslides and floods in October 2022. Funded by PMU Interlife, Tearfund Australia, and Gossner Mission, the project aimed to strengthen Disaster Risk Reduction and Management IDRRMI capacities, Registered Charity Number 1151842 Page

It also sought to improve DRRM governance, enabling communities to better prepare for and recover from future disasters. The project w35 implemented from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2025. Its primary goal is to strengthen the capacities of Soru RM and target communities for effective disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. It has supported affected communities in their recovery efforts, helping both local residents and the government build resilience and reinforce Disaster Risk Reduction IDRRI mechanisms for future disasters. b. £32,132.73 Flre Truck Project. The Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu donated six refurbished fire trucks to UMN for use in the areas where UMN has projerts. This fits within the area of disaster preparedness. UMN requested a grant from UMN Support Trust to cover associated costs with the transport of the trucks to the end user5. The Fire Trucks have been delivered and are a significant contribution to disaster preparedne55 in these SIX project areas. Sources of Income Income Ss received from.. individuals, small organisations, church groups and trusts known to the UMNST Trustees o those who know or learn of the work of UMN and its two hospitals, o those who know or learned of and understand the significant physical, financial and resource needs of a large portion of the population of Nepal. o those who wish to encourage and support the practical experience that small Nepali organisations are gaining by working with UMN'S experienced staff on projects to address some of the priority poverty areas within their community. o Gift Aid as UMN Support Trust 15 a registered charity we are able to boost the value of donations from UK taxpayers by 25%. UMNST has also benefitted from bequests from former supporters or expatriates who have previously worked for UMN or it5 hospitals. U MNST'S PayPal account offers the ability to receive eleven different currencies and publicity of this account h35 facilitated some overseas financial support. UMNST is holding £840,000 of UMN'S reserves in a loan account which is repayable to UMN on 28 days, notice. Income from the investment of these funds forms part of UMNST'5 income. During the reporting year £177,506.79 was moved from the Schroder's Investment to the CCLA COIF Ethical Charity Fund and within CCLA £226,726 was moved from the COIF Charity Fund to the COIF Ethical Charity Fund followin8 a review of our investments by the Trustees and approval by UMN Board of Trustees, in compliance with the terms of the loan. Out oln o U MNST will keep its costs to a mSnlmum. All of the Trustees provide their services voluntarlly. They can monitor some of the work in Nepal at negligible personal cost. o Apart from fees charged by PayPal in relation to donations and transactional fees charged by Lloyds Bank, the main cost is for the financial software used to support the appropriate financial record keeping. o At the end of the year one trustee was based in Kathmandu, and one trustee visited twice in the year. The Trustees have no desire to build significant reserves but may smooth out a large inflow of funds or carry over funds received late in the financial year. Registered Charity Number 1151842 Page 7

England & Wales o The Trustees are not able to consider unsolicited requests for funding as all the current Trustees are already familiar with a significant number of charitable needs and organisations that are addressing poverty in Nepal. The Trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance in the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Trust's aims and objectives, planning activities, setting the grant-making policy and monitoring the fund's usage. Pro ects for 2025 26 UMNST will continue publicising and supporting any natural disaster in Nepal requlring a response from UMN or its Nepali partner organisations. UMN and UMN MDT will identifycommunity projectsthat require fundin8 as515tance for UMNSTto consider for promotion. U MN'S Mission hospitals at Tansen and Okhaldhunga wlll continue to receive support. Some supporters will undoubtedly favour specific areas of the work of UMN and its h05Pltals. UMNST will ensure they make grants to and monitor appropriate projects to ensure that funds granted were used effectively per the supporters, wishes. Registered number 8219609 England & Wales Statement of Directors, Res onsibilities The Directors are responsible for preparing the Report of the Directors and the financial statements under the applicable law and regulations. Company law and the Charity Commission require the Directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. The Director5 have elected to prepare the financial statements under the charity's 'Statement of Recommended Practice (revised 20051, and under the requirements of annual corporate reporting and taking into account the fact that the company is a 'small' company. The Directors must only approve the financial statements if they are satlsfied that they give an accurate and fair view of the company's state of affairs, its income and expenditure for that period, and its charitable status. In preparin8 these financial statements, the Directors are required to.. .Select suitable accounting policles and then apply them consistently. .Make judgements and accounting estimates that are re350nable and prudent. Prepare the financial statements on an ongoing basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue to operate. Basis of accountln8 The accrual accounts and financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities issued in March 2005 and in accordance with the speclal provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies, regime. Fund accountlng Unrestricted funds are available for use at the Trustees, discretion in furtherance of the general objettives of the charity. Designated funds are unrestricted funds earmarked by the Trustees for particular purposes. Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure imposed by the donor or through the terms of a funding appeal for specific projects. Incomlng resources All incoming resources are Included in the statement of financial activities when the charity is entitled to and virtually certain to receive the income, and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The followin8 policies are applied to particular categories of income.. Voluntary income is received through 8rants, donations and 8ifts and is included In the Statement of Financial Activities when receivable. Grant5, where entitlement is not conditional on the delivery of a Specific performance by the charity, are recognised when the charity becomes unconditionally entltled to the grant. Donated services and facilities and the value of volunteer services have not been included in these accounts. Investment income 15 included when received. Incoming resources from charitable trading activity are accounted for when earned. Resources expended Expenditure is recognised on an accrual basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any VAT which cannot be fully recovered and is reported as part of the expenditure to which it relates. Costs of generating funds comprise the costs associated with attracting voluntary income and the Costs of trading for fundraising purposes. Charitable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity In the delivery of its activities and services for its beneficiaries. These funds have been invested either in established charitable investment funds or through a financial firm which manages a portfolio of investments on behalf of UM NST. The loans have no fixed maturity date and are interest-free. They are subject to repayment upon 28 days, notice, at the lower of the realisable value of the related investments and the principal amount of the loan. Therefore, no loss will be incurred by UMNST. Any interest or dividends received or realised gains will be used by UMNST for charitable grants in line with UMNST'S aims and in line with any acceptable restrirtion by the lender.
