The Trustees have pleasure in submitting the Report and Accounts for the year to 31 December 2024
## **Structure and Governance**
The church constitution was last amended 14th March 2013.
The operating decisions of the charity rest with the Trustees who meet regularly to monitor the activities of the church. Sunday school teachers, are holding DBS certificate and the charity is under the child protection policy produced by Thirtyone:eight. The charity has 20-25 volunteers serving the church and one employee who is our church pastor overseeing the whole congregation supported by elders and leaders of the church.
## **Objectives and Activities**
The principal object of the church is for the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of faith, in such parts of Portsmouth, the united kingdom or the world, for charitable purposes as the trustees from time to time may think fit to further the work of the Church.
## Review of Activities
The Church is not a building, but a gathering of ordinary people of different ages and backgrounds, whose lives have been changed by Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The Bible reveals the Church as a community of people, properly taught and cared for, who by loving and serving Jesus Christ, were also committed to love and care for each other and to bring a blessing to the area in which they lived.
The Good Shepherd International Missions UK, its trustees , leaders and members are committed to these biblical principles.
Our church exists to help people take the next step toward knowing, loving, and following Jesus Christ.
B. Summary of main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects.
The church is not a building, but a gathering of people of different race, ages and background whose lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The bible reveals that the church is a community of people, being well taught and cared for, who by loving and serving Jesus Christ are also committed to love one another and to be a blessing to others.
During the year, TGSIM Uk has continued to demonstrate Christian Faith in action by serving the community in which it operates through the following activities.
**1.** Conducting weekly afternoon worship service that is open to all. Providing relevant biblical teachings and activities for children and youth during Sunday school, followed by fellowship to promote love, support and encouragement as a body of Christ.
**2.** Communion of the Lord's supper is observed every first Sunday of the month.
**3.** Providing pastoral work including praying/visiting the sick/bereaved families, and counselling by our charity pastor and elde
**4.** Conducting one-on-one and small group discipleship, training to promote spiritual growth and to train new leaders who will take care and lead people to Christ.
**5.** Providing Community outreach activities like Church Family Day and Sports Evangelism.
**6.** Supporting overseas Pastoral mission.
**7.** Operating weekly cell groups, meeting within the City of Portsmouth and other neighbouring places.
## **Achievements and Performance**
## A. Events
The charity held different events, maintaining the objective for the advancement of the Christian faith, to care and support for every individual and families.
The 14th year, Thanksgiving Church Anniversary was held on the 8th of December, thanking God for His faithfulness and for sustaining us through.

## **Achievements and Performance (continued)**
Some events such as Father's day, Mother's day, Easter Sunday, Family day, Church family getaway, Sports Evangelism and Pastor's appreciation were successfully held, honouring God in each event and glorifying His name, that made it truly victorious and significant.
Sharing the love of Christ to the people in the community through the word of God that was preached by our pastor on every events that were held.
God brought us together, to be one in Him that we might bring light to the world.
Giving thanks to God for making every possible success of the different events that were held this year along side with the active members, leaders and elders of the church as spearheaded by our pastor.
## B. Training and Discipleship
It has been wonderful to see the members of the church continuously growing in the faith, grace and knowledge of God for the last twelve (12) months. Group and one-on-one discipleship activities is in progress as we aim more members to fully mature in Christ, serving God with love and passion.
Youth and Children are being trained according to their gifts and willingness in order for them to serve the people in the church as well as in the community.
The Church was able to help members to identify their spiritual gift and to utilise them to show their love for God and also to provide services in the community.
New members of the church are now actively part of the cell group and eventually are retained members of the church and committed now to support different church ministries according to their God's given talent.
100% of the church members belong to a certain cell group. The cell group helped to fulfil the vision of Christ for the church, to win the world for Jesus. This can only be achieved when all believers become disciples themselves.
The small group setting of a cell group is the only practical means to see this disciple making happen, and to reach out to the lost and to nurture new believers. We are also called to love one another, care for one another, teach and encourage one another, exhort, admonish and restore one another. The only practical way to achieve this is through cell groups.
Our church pastor is mainly responsible for providing pastoral care for the congregation, equipping, and also discipling committed members of the church.
Church elders and leaders willingly help for the pastoral care, discipling potential leaders and the organisation of different activities and the role of administration.
## C. Mission
We were able to reach out to people in other countries via FB live streaming/ zoom for bible studies and Sunday service.
The charity has provided financial support to TGSIM churches in the Philippines to aid in serving their people in the church as well as in their community.
The charity continues to offer financial help as part of the benevolence support to our regular members and to their immediate family as per charity benevolence protocol.
## **Financial Review**
The charity activities are financially supported, mainly from the tithes and offerings of the committed church members. Total receipts of Unrestricted Funds in 2024 is £61,265 were more than the total of £54,015 in 2023 Unrestricted Funds payments in 2024 were £54,715 is more compared with payments of £50,554 in 2023.
Total cash balances at the end of the year on the current account and business reserve account were £60,570 compared with £54,049 at the end of the previous year.

## **Reserves**
The Trustees have established a policy whereby reserves held by the charity should be maintained at a level that represents three months of normal expenditure in order to meet its obligations to employee and sustain its operations during that period.
## **Public Benefit**
The trustees are aware of the guidance and public benefit published by the charity commission and we believed that the activity of the church provided significant public benefit in accordance with the charity commission guidance. It is always been the desire of the church to welcome new faces into our fellowship and to reach out as many people as possible in our community through the gospel to help people find spiritual faith and peace.
## **Trustees' Responsibilities**
Charity Law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which gives a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Charity. In preparing those financial statements the Trustees are required to:
- i) Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently
- ii) Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent
- iii) Prepare financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the trust will continue in existence.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with Charity Law. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS**
Report to the trustees/members of The Good Sheppard International Missions Uk on the accounts for the year ended 31st December 2024 set out on pages 8 to 11.
## **RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER**
The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 144 (2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act)) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
- examine the accounts (under section 145 of the Act),
- to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145 (5) (b) of the Act), and
- state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## **BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT**
My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the organisation and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT**
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
- (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act; and
- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act have not been met; or
- (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1. BASIS OF ACCOUNTING**
The accounts have been prepared under the “Receipts and Payments” basis as prescribed by the Charity Commissioners, and they meet the appropriate legal requirements. The Trustees confirm, in accordance with the Charitable Incorporated Organisations (General) Regulations 2012, that at the year end the CIO did not have any outstanding guarantees to third parties nor any debts secured on assets of the CIO.

## **6. TRUSTEE REMUNERATION AND EXPENSES**
Pastor Romwell P Azores, a trustee, received payments totalling £18,740 (2023: £18,740) in respect of his role as Pastor of the Church, comprising gross salary of £16,800, employer's National Insurance contributions of £1,100, and employer's pension contributions of £840. This remuneration is authorized by clause 6(2)(b) of the CIO's constitution and complies with sections 185 to 188 of the Charities Act 2011.
No other trustees received any remuneration during the year.
No payments were made to trustees, or any persons connected with them, except for reimbursement of expenses incurred wholly and exclusively on behalf of the charity in furtherance of its charitable objects, which were immaterial in both years.
No other material related party transactions took place during the year.
