The trustee have pleasure in submitting the report and accounts for the year 2021.
## **A. Charitable Objects**
The principal object of the church is for the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of faith and to relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services in such parts of Portsmouth, the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit.
## **B. Summary of main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects.**
The church is not a building, but a gathering of people of different race, ages and background whose lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The bible reveals that the church is a community of people, being well taught and cared for, who by loving and serving Jesus Christ are also committed to love one another and to be a blessing to others.
TGSIM UK Church, it's trustees and members are committed to these biblical principles, to help people to know, love and follow Christ.
During the year,TGSIM Uk has continued to demonstrate Christian Faith in action by serving the community in which it operates through the following activities.
Duing the month of August we were able to start face to face activities and fellowship.
1. Conducting weekly afternoon worship service that is open to all. Providing relevant biblical teachings and activities for children and youth during Sunday school which started during the month of August due to covid restrictions; followed by fellowship to promote love, support and encouragement as a body of Christ.
2. Communion of the Lord’s supper is observed every first Sunday of the month.
3.Providing pastoral work including praying/visiting the sick/bereaved families, and counseling by our charity pastor and elders.
- 4.Conducting one-on-one and small group discipleship, training and attending conference to promote spiritual growth and to train new leaders who will take care and lead people to Christ.
5.Providing Community outreach activities like Family Day.
- 6.Supporting overseas Pastoral mission.
- 7.Operating weekly cell groups, meeting within the City of Portsmouth and other neighboring places.
## **Achievements and performance**
## A. Events
The charity held different events, maintaining the objective for the advancement of the christian faith, to care and support for every individual and families.
The 11th year Thanksgiving Church Anniversary was held on the 5th of December, thanking God for His faithfulness and for sustaining us through.
Some events like Father's day, Mother's day, Easter Sunday, Family day, and Pastor's appreciation were succesfully held, honoring God in each event and glorifying His name, that made it truly victorious and significant, via zoom.
Sharing the love of Christ to the people in the community through the word of God that was preached by our pastor on every events that were held. God brought us together, to be one in Him that we might bring light to the world.
Giving thanks to God for making every possible success of the different events that were held this year along side with the active members and leaders of the church as spearheaded by our pastor.
## B. Training and Discipleship
It has been wonderful to see the members of the church continuously growing in the faith, grace and knowledge of God for the last twelve (12) months.
Group and one-on-one discipleship activities is in progress as we aim more members to fully mature in Christ, serving God with love and passion.

Youth and Children are being trained according to their gifts and willingness in order for them to serve the people in the church as well as in the community.
The Church was able to help members to identify their spiritual gift and to utilise them to show their love for God and also to provide services in the community.
New cell group (Isle of Wight) was formed in order to take care of the new people, spiritually being baptized into the body of Christ.
New people were added to a cell group and eventually were retained members of the church and being committed to support church ministry according to their gift.
99% of the church members belong to a certain cell group.
The cell group helped to fulfill the vision of Christ for the church, to win the world for Jesus. This can only be achieved when all believers become disciples themselves.The small group setting of a cell group is the only practical means to see this disciple making happen, and to reach out to the lost and to nurture new believers. We are also called to love one another, care for one another, teach and encourage one another, exhort, admonish and restore one another. The only practical way to achieve this is through cell groups.
Our church pastor is mainly responsible for providing pastoral care for the congregation, equipping, and also discipling committed members of the church. Church elders and leaders willingly offer voluntarily help for the pastoral care, discipling potential leaders and the organisation of different activities and the role of administration.
## **C. Mission**
The charity pastor was not able to physically visit and minister to some TGSIM churches worldwide due to covid restrictions.
We were able to reach out to people in other countries via online / zoom and they were able to join us in our Sunday church. Pastors and members of our sister churches ( TGSIM) were able to support in joining us every Sunday via zoom, and live streaming.
The charity has provided financial support to TGSIM churches in the Philippines to aid in serving their people in the church as well as in their community.
The charity continues to offer financial help as part of the benevolence support to our regular members and to their immediate family as per charity benevolence protocol.
## **Trustees Responsibilities**
The trustees are aware of the guidance and public benefit published by the charity commission and we believed that the activity of the church provided significant public benefit in accordance with the charity commission guidance. It is always been the desire of the church to welcome new faces into our fellowship and to reach out as many people as possible in our community through the gospel to help people find spiritual faith and peace.
## **Governance**
Sunday school teachers, are holding DBS certificate and the charity is under the child protection policy produced by CCPAS.
## **Reserves Policy**
The Trustees have established a policy whereby reserves held by the charity should be maintained at a level that represents three months of normal expenditure in order to meet its obligations to employee and sustain its operations during that period.
## **Financial Review**
The charity activities are financially supported, mainly from the tithes and offerings of the church members. Income increased from £27,713 to £43,055. Expenditure decreased from £23,900 to £17,813.

Report to the trustees/ members of The Good Shepherd International Missions UK on the accounts for the year ended 31st December 2021.
## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
- examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
- to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and
- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement**
My examination was carried out in accordance with general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements:
- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; and
- **·** to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act
have not been met; or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

The Church employs a full time Pastor of the Church who is responsible for providing pastoral care for the congregation and to other people, equipping and discipling committed members of the Church. No employee received emoluments in excess of £60,000. Staff are paid through the PAYE scheme but this is administrated by Stewardship Services and so no details are provided of Social Security payments. (2020 - None)
## **6. TRUSTEES AND OTHER RELATED PARTIES**
Pastor Romwel P Azores received payments in respect of his gross remuneration as detailed above. No other payments were made to trustees/members or any persons connected with them during this financial period. No other material transaction took place between the organisation and a trustee or any person connected with them.

## **7. RISK ASSESSMENT**
The Trustees actively review the major risks which the charity faces on a regular basis and believe that maintaining the free reserves stated combined with the annual review of the controls over key financial systems carried out on an annual basis will provide sufficient resources in the event of adverse conditions. The Trustees have also examined other operational and business risks which they face and confirm that they have established systems to mitigate the significant risks.
## **8. RESERVES POLICY**
The Trustees have considered the level of reserves they wish to retain, appropriate to the charity's needs. This is based on the charity's size and the level of financial commitments held. The Trustees aim to ensure the charity will be able to continue to fulfil its charitable objectives even if there is a temporary shortfall in income or unexpected expenditure. The trustees will endeavour not to set aside funds unnecessarily.
## **9. PUBLIC BENEFIT**
The Charity acknowledges its requirement to demonstrate clearly that it must have charitable purposes or ‘aims’ that are for the public benefit. Details of how the charity has achieved this are provided in the Trustees report. The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit before deciding what activities the charity should undertake.
