CCN (Christian Communities Network) Trustees Annual Report - 2025
Function
The primary function of the CCN Trustees was agreed to be the oversight of Hope Huddersfield. CCN being an umbrella organisation under which Hope Huddersfield is the main activity. The day to day running of Hope Huddersfield being delegated to the Hope Huddersfield Steering Team. Trustees Mike Reid (Chair), Mark Brooke, Steve Hurd. CNN / Hope Huddersfield would follow the national Hope Together strapline of being a ‘Catalyst for Transformation’, co-ordinating churches and Christians across Huddersfield.
Hope Huddersfield Team
The core Hope Huddersfield are Mike Reid (Chair) (Elim Church); Dan Lush (Community Church); Sara Cosgrove (Community Church); Mike Wilkins (Holy Trinity Church); Steve Hurd (Ark Church); Susan Kerton (Admin) (Elim Church); John Carson (Gledholt Methodist); Sue Pegg (Gledholt Methodist). Sara Cosgrove retired in March after serving on the Hope team for over ten years. It is a joy that Andy Woodward from the Ark Church and Susan Kerton from the Elim Church joined the team.
Administration
We are thankful to Susan Kerton overseeing our administration. Susan changed her working arrangement to be paid for her hours worked. Elim run the payroll, which Hope Huddersfield reimburse when Susan submits her hours to them.

Events
We ran the Try Praying initiative across the churches in Huddersfield. After a launch event in March at the Jubliee Centre, over a thousand booklets given out through congregates in the weeks before Easter, who were encouraged to pray and pass them on. Banners were put up outside churches, and it was advertised on a board outside Kingsgate Shopping Centre. Across the year we increased the number of Prayer and Praise Sunday evening meetings to be bi-monthly meeting at the Ark, Community, Holy Trinity and Elim churches. The Huddersfield Christians Fellowship set up Huddersfield Alpha website so that all Alpha courses in every church could be advertised in one place. They also hosted a Ceilidh in November to bring churches together for a fun event.
The monthly Tuesday Church Leaders lunchtime prayer meetings continued throughout the year.
We joined a nation initiative Shine Your Light in December, carol singing in the town centre inviting people to Carol Services in churches. Also, we led singing at the Huddersfield Town Foundation Carol Concert.
