## **Administration**

After doing the admin role since April 2016, Nicola Pogmore left the role at the end of June 2023 for a new job in a school. We are grateful for all she has done in the background for so many year enabling CCN / Hope Huddersfield function well. Also we are grateful to the William Brooke Benevolent Fund for funding her time of 4 hours per week. The aim is have someone to carry on doing administration, but fund it from Hope Huddersfield.

## **Finances**

Year-end 31-3-2023 figures are attached. We need to note that there is £2,996.64 of the ‘awards for all’ grant of £10,000, which is to be used for youth work in the Dalton area.

## **Dalton Youth Project**

A youth firework party in Kirkheaton was funded in November 2022. We have looked at some youth events in the area, including a drama company doing workshops on the dangers of gangs and knife crime in the local high school. However, the school have not been quick at responding, so other activities are being explored.

## **Events**

In December, we distributed ‘bags of hope’, with invitations to Christmas services and knitted angels inside, as well as Carol singing in Greenhead Park on accompanied by Golcar Brass Band. There were various prayer and praise meetings at different churches and on Castle Hill. The major event of the year was the Easter Celebration in Huddersfield Town Hall on Palm Sunday 2[nd] April 2023 with J John and Gareth Thompson speaking. Leading up to this there was the PrayHD prayer walking over Lent and outreach activities. Approximately 700 people attended the event with over 50 responding to an invitation to respond to the gospel message and invitations to Easter Services distributed.

What is also good to note is the continuing development of relationship across churches that CNN/ Hope Huddersfield continues to enable. This includes; people preaching and

teaching in each other’s churches; combined youth events; church leaders prayer; as well as sharing resources. In addition, there is the exploring of new projects such as the Friends International and representation at West Yorkshire church leaders meetings organised by the Gather Movement of Evangelical Alliance.

We give thanks to God for all the Hope Huddersfield team, trustees, Nicola Pogmore and Elliott Sharp (who is going to work in Albania in October).
