CCN (Christian Communities Network) Trustees Annual Report - 2022
Function
The primary function of the CCN Trustees was agreed to be the oversight of Hope Huddersfield. CCN being an umbrella organisation under which Hope Huddersfield is the main activity. The day to day running of Hope Huddersfield being delegated to the Hope Huddersfield Steering Team. Trustees Mike Reid (Chair), Mark Brooke, Steve Hurd. CNN / Hope Huddersfield would follow the national Hope Together strapline of being a ‘Catalyst for Transformation’, co-ordinating churches and Christians across Huddersfield.
Hope Huddersfield Team
The core Hope Huddersfield are Mike Reid (Chair) (Elim Church); Sara Cosgrove (Community Church); Mike Wilkins (Holy Trinity Church); Simon Walters (Holy Trinity Church); Steve Hurd (Ark Church); Emma Walters (Kirkheaton Parish Church); John Carson (Gledholt Methodist); Sue Pegg (Gledholt Methodist); Elliott Sharp (Elim) and Nicola Pogmore (Elim) doing administration.
Administration
We continue to grateful to Nicola Pogmore for her administrative role for 4 hours per week. Also we are grateful to the William Brooke Benevolent Fund for funding her time.
Finances
Year end 31-3-2023 figures are attached. We need to note that there is £3,246.64 of the ‘awards for all’ grant of £10,000, to be used for youth work in the Dalton area.
Dalton Youth Project
There have been some plans to develop the work postponed due to the pandemic. But little has been done over the last year.
Events
It has been delight to emerge into activities following the pandemic. A major prayer initiative ‘PrayHD’ united churches in prayer walking nearly one thousand miles of the HD postcode over Lent. In December we distributed ‘bags of hope’ with invitations to Christmas services as well as Carol singing in Greenhead park on accompanied by Golcar Brass Band.
We give thanks to all the Hope Huddersfield team, trustees and especially Nicola Pogmore for all their support, service in God’s kingdom in the work of CCN / Hope Huddersfield.
