The Field House Foundation Report of the Trustees for the Period Ended 31" 1)cc¢mberg 2025 The Trustees hereby present their Annual Report together with the Financial Statements of the Charity for the period ended 31. December, 2025. The Financial Statements cL)mply viith the Charitieg Act 1993 and the Trust Deed of the Charity. The Charity's Accounts have been prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis and therefore fall outside the scope of the Statement of Recommended Practice - Accounting and Reporttng by ChaTities (SORP 2005). Chair's Report The Charity was set up to create and support opportunities for young perforniing artists in the early stages of thetr professional career4 as well as presenting a range of musiGal events for the local community to enjoy and get involved with. The Charity may enter into wid¢r activities should the Trustees feel that is appropriate. Overview of 2025 The Charity's lease of the Cooper Hall facility in Somerset lapsed at the of 2024 and the Trustees therefore had to rrienL1te the way it operates. A new Studio facility was Greated for the Charlty's use in Berkshire so that day workshops and coaGhing sessions wntinue to be provided. This ¢am¢ into operation in th¢ last quartcr of 2025. VlOuS coaching and perfonnance rehearsals have been undertaken in the new Studio and the Charity is pleased to report that this will etwble it to continue th¢se activities. However, the new Studio facility is not suitable for public perforniances and therefore this element of our wo unfortunately can no longer be undertaken, at least for the time being. During the year we mad¢ donations to Frome Radio. Pegasus Opera and the Williams-Howard Prize. Donations were ¢ither by way of cash payments or bursaries for coaching under the Charity'$ schemes. Future plans for 2026 We will continue to use the new Studio for coaching and educational purposes. ag well as donate time and where appropriate funds. Unfortunat¢ly, we are now unable to offer public perfonnance opportunities, but are exploring undertaking smaIl-scale master classes in the Stydio, as well as collaborations with other educationalists and practitioners. ly IIqKL Morag McLaren Chair
The Field House Foundation Our purpo8e and acliviti The objeetives of the charity were origiDally sel up: To manage musicaI 2nd artistic events and educational activities at Cooper Hall, Somm¢rsei with a view to". a) Providing opportunities for ycrt8 p¢rfonn¢rs on th¢ brink of their careers to perforn) at Cooper Hail. b) Presenting a ran8e of p¢rfotmances at C(w Hall which audiences in the locality would otherwise not have available to them" c) Providing artists opporbjnities to focus on prOS and developmentsl work on creative projects in an inspiring environment where new ideas and collaborations can flourish. d) Provide an environment for a range of musical ¢ducation opportunitie4 including m&ster ClSeS and workshops. Other activities that the Trustees feel to b¢ appropriate to the Charity. However, the facllities at Cooper HaIl are no longer available to the Charity. Accordingly. we have reorientated the obj¢dives to tske this into accoun( within the frarnework of the original stated objectives of the chlty, to include: l. Where posstble, sbaring proc¢5s WO with the public thrcwgh the provislon of Workshops. master classes and presentations. 2. To promote Education and artist's personal development in music. in particular but not limited to aspiring prof&ssionaI singers. in such ways as the Trustees think fiL including by awarthng to such persons bursaries or other fimding to enable them to devdop their perforniing skills and attaining creative potential. 3. To fither such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees in their absolute discretton shall think fit but in particular through th¢ making of grants and donations, including th¢ donation of Morag McLaren's coachin& mentorship and facilitation of artist's creative projects. Our Cuent practical obje£tives are therefo to continue to provide artists opportunities to foGus on proGes8 and developmental work on cative projects, together with a range of musical education opportynities including small al¢ master classes and workshops. These activities are now carried out at the Charity's new Stydio in Berf(shire which is more accessible and closer to London than Somers¢ enablin8 participants to commut¢ daily.
Achievements and perfomanee During 2025 we created a new sdiD for LNJr use in Berkshire and started using the facilities in the last quarter of 2025. We provided a range of LThching sessions and educational initiatives. Morag McLaren continued to donate her services as coach, mentor, facilitator, director and workshop supervisoi to the Charity. During the year we made donations to Frome Radio. Pegasus Opera and the Williams-Howard Prize.
Plans for future period Due to the change in circumstances. the Charity lost the use of the C(K)per Hall facility in Somerget and h&8 relocated its op¢rations to Berkshire Whe it now has the use of a smaller Stydio. We plan to continue to provide a wide range of WOTkshops. coaching and educational activitieg and collaborations during 2026 using our new Studio, but will no longer be able to offer public perfoman¢es. The focus is now on smaller-scale activities due to the sma]ler facilities to be used by the Charity. Nevertheless. the new Studio's closer proximity to London makes the facilities accessible to a wide range of participants. Morag McLaren has also initiated opportunities to team lead educational opportunities in collaboration wtth appropriate professionals. W¢ are also exploring the idea of making our Stydio space available to a range of complimentary practices that will extend the nature of the educational faculties on offer to participating artists.
