The Field House Foundation Report of the Trustees for the Period Ended 31" December, 2024 The Trustees hereby present their Annual Report together with the Financial Statements of the Charity for the period ended 31" December, 2024. The Financial Ststements comply with the Charities Act 1993 and th¢ Trust De￿ of the Charity. The Charity's Accounts have been prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis and ther¢fore fall outside the scope of the Statement of Recornmended Practice - Accounting and Reporting by Charities (SORP 2005). Chair>s Report The Charity was set up on the back of an arrangement to lease Cooper Hall for a Peppercorn Rent and to use this facility in particular to create and support opportunities for young perforn]ing artists in the early stages of their professional careers, as well as presenting a range of musical events for the local community to enjoy and get involved with. The Charity may enter into wider activities should the trustees feel that is appropriate. Overvieiv of 2024 Due to the Cooper Hall facility being put up for sale in 2024, the arrangement for the Charity's lease of the facility lapsed in 2024 and the Trustees have reorientsted the way the Charity will operate in the future. Nevertheless, we still managed to present a number of successful concerts during th¢ year at Cooper Hall, including Liane Carroll, Olivia Chaney, John Smith and a gala concert for the Frome Festival by Willard Whit¢, together with completing a number of small-scale creative residencie8, workshops and education￿ initiatives.. During the year we also rnade donations to Frorne Festival. Frome Radio, Pegasus oper￿ Singers Resound, the Williams-Howard Prize and BOIBA singing competition and the Over 35 singing competition. Future plans for 2025 We plan to continue with helping to provide opportunities for young perforniing artists in particular, but can no longer offer the facilities of Cooper Hall for perfonnances and larger coaching sessions. In response to this change, we have decided to relocate our coaching work to Berkshire where w¢ will have the use of a small studio but have recognised that our work will need to b¢ of smaller scale than in Cooper Hall going forward. The Charity's name has also been changed to reflect its new location of operation, to The Field House Foundation. The Trustees agreed that the Charity can no longer justify retsining the Trustees who live in SomerseL duc to the envisaged reduced scope of our work and the geographical difficulties now created for working together. Accordingly, Jonathan Coopcr and Fay Goodridgc fornmlly resigned as Trustees in 2024 after many years of dedication and excellent work for the Charity. We are grateful for the support, dedication and hard work put into the Charity by Jonathan and Fay over the years and will of course kecp in touch with them in our new operating environment. We have added Hugh Riddell as a Trustee due to his accounting and finance background and locality and owledge of the Charity. Morag McLaren Chair

The Field House Foundation Report of the Trustees for the Period .Ended 318t December, 2024 The Trustees hereby present their Annual Report together with the Financial Statements of the Charity for the period ended 31 51 December, 2024. The Financial Statements comply with the Charities Act 1993 and the Trust Deed of the Charity. The Charity's Accounts have been prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis and therefore fall outside the scope of the Statement of Recommended Practice - Accounting and Reporting by Charities (SORP 2005). Chair's Report The Charity was set up on the back of an arrangement to lease Cooper Hall for a Peppercorn Rent and to use this facility in particular to create and support opportunities for young perforniing artists in the early stag¢s of their professional careers, as well as presenting a range of musical events for the local community to enjoy and get involvcd with, The Charity may enter into wider activities should the trnstees feel that is appropriate. Overview of 2024 Due to the Coopcr Hall facility being put up for sale in 2024, the arrangement for the Charity's lease of the facility lapsed in 2024 and the Trustees have reorientst¢d the way the Charity will operate in the future. Nevertheless, w¢ still managed to present a number of successful concerts during the year at Cooper Hall. including Liane Carroll, Olivia Chaney, John Smith and a gala concert for the Frome Festival by Willard Whits, together with completing a number of small-scale creative residencies. workshops and educational initiativ¢s.. During the year we also made donations to Frome Festival, Frome Radio, Pegasus oper￿ Singers Resound, the Williams-Howard Prize and BOIBA singing competition and the Over 35 singing competition. Future plans for 2025 We plan to continue with helping to provide opportunities for young perforn]ing artists in particular, but can no longer offer the facilities of Cooper Hall for perfornwAces and larger coaching sessions. In response to this change, we have decided to relocate our coaching work to Berkshire Whe￿ we will have th¢ use of a small studio but have recognised that our work will need to be of smaller scale than in Cooper Hall going forward. The Charity's name has also b¢en changed to reflect its new location of operation, to The Field House Foundation. The Trustees agreed that the Charity can no longer justify retaining the Trustees who live in Somerset, due to the envisaged reduced scope of our work and the geo8r4phieal diffi¢ultic8 now created for working togeth¢r. Accordingly, Jonathan Cooper and Fay Goodridge fornmlly resigncd as Trustees in 2024 after many years of dedication and excellent work for the Charity. We are grateful for the suppo¢ dedication and hard work put into the Charity by Jonathan and Fay over the years and will of course keep in touch with them in our new operating environment. We have added Hugh Riddell as a Trustee due to his accounting and finance background and locality and owl¢dge of the Charity. Morag McLaren Chair

The Field House Foundation Our purpose and actlvities The Objectiv￿ of the Charity were originally set up: To manage musical and artistic events and educational activitie5 at Cooper Hall, Frome, with a view to.. a) Providing opportunities for young perforn]ers on the brink of their careers to perforni at Cooper Hall; b) Presenting a range of perforn]ances at Cooper Hall which audiences in the locality would otherwise not have available to them. c) Providing artists opportunities to focus on process and developmental work on creative projects in an inspiring ¢nvironment where new ideas and collaborations can flourish. d) Provide an environment for a range of musical education opportunities. including master classes and workshops. Other activities that the Trustees feel to be appropriate to the Charity. However, the facilities at Cooper Hall are no longer available to the Charity, as the facility is being sold by its owner. Accordingly, we have reorientsted the objectives to take this into accoun¢ within the framework of the original ststed objectives of the Charity. which remain: l. To advance the education of the public in the art and appreciation of music and other performing arts by any means the Trustees see fit, incJudin8 through the provision of workshops and Presentations of process work. 2. To promote Education in music. in particular but not limited to young people. in such ways as the Trustees think fiL including by awarding to such persons bursaries or other funding to enable them to develop their education and skills in music. 3. To further such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the making of grants and donations, including the donation of Morag McLaren's coaching. Our current practica] objectives are therefore to continue to provide artists opportunities to focus on process and developmental work on creative projects, together with a range of musical education opportunities including small scale master classcs and workshops. These activities will in future necessarily take place in a much smaller studio in Berkshire which does not provide the same opportunity for public perfonnances or residential courses as were possible when Cooper Hall was used by the Charity. However, the studio in Berkshire is more accessible and closer to London than Cooper Hall, which should enable participants to commute daily or stay a long¢r duration than in Somerget, which is in 30m¢ way5 IcbJ limiung than structuring these activities in Cooper Hall.

Achievements and perforniance During 2024 we hosted a number of residencie& presented various concerts to the public during the year. including Oper￿ jazz, classical, music theatre and comedy genres and provided a range of workshops. coaching sessions and educational initiatives throughout the year. Morag McLar¢n continued to donate her services as coach, mentor. facilitator, director and workshop supervisor to the Charity. We provided facilities for collaborations with oth¢r companies, including Pegasus Oper4 Little Bulb and Drama DirecL During the year we made donations to Frome Festival, Frome Radio. Pegasus oper￿ Singers Resound, the Williams-Howard Prize and BOIBA singing competition and the Over 35 singing competition.

Plans for future period Due to the change in circumstances, the Charity will no longer have the Cooper Hall facility in Somerset and is relocating to Berkshire wher¢ it will have use of a much smaller studio. We will continue to provide the wid¢ rang¢ of workshops, coaching and educational activities and collaborations during 2025 in our smaller studio in Berkshire.. But we will focus on much smaller-scale activities due to the smaller facilities to be used by the Charity. Nevertheless, the new studio's closer proximity to London may make it possible to rl creative residencies of longer duration and density than fornierly at Cooper Hall, since the new location is commutable from London. Morag McLaren is also exploring opportunities to team lead educational opportunities by collaborating with appropriate professionals. We are also looking into the idea of making our studio space available to a range of complimentary practices that will extsnd the nature of the educational fa¢ulti¢s on offer to participating artists.
