**Objects:** THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF THE U3A ARE:TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE NOT IN FULL TIME GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT WHO ARE IN THEIR THIRD AGE (BEING THE PERIOD OF TIME AFTER THE FIRST AGE OF CHILDHOOD DEPENDENCE AND THE SECOND AGE OF FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT AND/OR PARENTAL RESPONSIBILIY)RESIDING IN LEIGH ON SEA AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.

**Activities:** Leigh Estuary U3A is a learning co-operative for the sharing of educational, creative and recreational opportunities. Access to membership is open to all local residents who are in their third age, viz. retired or semi-retired.  Charges to members are designed purely to cover costs.
