## Activities

**Objects:** To meet the particular, but not exclusively, the needs of people with spinal injuries by:3.1 Creating outdoor spaces called Horatio’s Gardens which are places of tranquillity and beauty at spinal treatment centres 3.2 Maintaining and improving Horatio’s Gardens 3.3 Supporting people with spinal injuries and their friends and relatives to enable them to use Horatio&#x27;s Gardens 3.4 Facilitating events especially in Horatio’s Gardens for people with spinal injuries their friends&#x27; relatives and carers and for volunteers and staff at the spinal treatment centres 3.5 Training and supporting staff and volunteers who care for people with spinal injuries 3.6 Conducting research, gathering and disseminating information and working to raise awareness and further understanding as to the benefits of gardens and accessible design in health care settings, including consulting with and for third parties.

**Activities:** Horatio&#x27;s Garden creates and cares for beautiful, accessible gardens in NHS spinal injury centres. Designed to improve patients&#x27; psychological and physical wellbeing, the stunning sanctuaries become a vital part of patients&#x27; lives during their long hospital stays. Events and activities are organised by the charity, including garden and art therapy, music concerts and sculpture exhibitions.
