## **Minutes of the eight Annual General Meeting of 18[th] April 2024**

## **Item 1: Chair’s Opening Remarks:** 

- 1.1 Sylvia opened the meeting at 7.40pm by welcoming those present and declaring the meeting as quorate. 

## **Item 2: Approval of the Minutes of the last AGM and Matters Arising:** 

- 2.1 The minutes of the AGM held 20[th] June 2023 were read and approved as being accurate. There were no matters arising.

## **Item 3: Reports and Accounts:** 

- 3.1 Sylvia’s report was circulated ahead of the meeting. There were no matters arising. 

- 3.2 Treasurer’s report was circulated ahead of the meeting. For reasons relating to illness, Deborah prepared the treasurer’s report on Sarah’s behalf. While there were no matters arising from the treasurer’s report, it was agreed to accept it and invite Sarah and Deborah to a future meeting to answer any questions the trustees may have.

- 3.3 The tribunal activity report was circulated ahead of the meeting. There were no matters arising, but the report did generate some healthy conversation about the

impact LA decisions have on family’s and the difference the charity is making to those families.

## **Item 5: Any Other Business/Matters Raised During the Meeting** 

- 5.1 Tom Archer, member of Aldridge Running Club and a parent of child with SEND, is doing a fundraising activity for Talking SENse! in September. Ken and Jo will liaise with Tom and update the trustees accordingly. 

- 5.2 Sylvia thanked Ken and Rachel for their outstanding hard work and commitment to Talking SENse! and to the many families the charity supports. Sylvia also thanked the trustees for their commitment and support to Talking SENse! 

- 5.3 There being no other business the meeting closed at 8.09pm.
