The event not only raised substanti8l awareness but also Strengthened our capacity to support those in need. Th rough the generosity and unity of our community. we have extended vital support to thousands of Gurkha veterans, wldows, and families in Kent, UK. Moreover, our foundation has provided crucial immigratlon as8lStance to numerous adult dependents of Gurkhas, ensuring that their rights and dignity are respected and upheld. Kent; £10,775 Folkestone= £1,105 Gurkha Walk 2024: £17,000 Regular Givlng (Direct Deblt): We are deeply gr8teful to our approximately 150 regular supporters. who contribute between £2 8nd £20 per month through direct debit arrangements. These consistent contributions provide a reLi8ble income streÉm that sustains our ongoing operations and community initiatives. Reserve3 Pollcy and Investment of Funds The trustees have reviewed the charity's reserves in accordance with the Charlty Commission's guldance (CC19) and the Charlty SORP (FRS 102).
Our policy is to maintain free reserves equivalent to around three months of operating expgnditure, ensuring fin8nci8l stability and flexibiLity to continue delivering our ch8 ritable objectives. As of 27 December 2024, total unrestricted reserves stood at £91,529.43. of which £S0.000 is held in a one-year fixed-term deposit with Lloyds Bank. maturing on 14 February 2025. This investment was made to secure a higher rate of return whi(e safeguarding our assets. ALthough these funds are temporarily in8ccessrble, they remain unrestrlcted reserve and WILI be availabLe for general use upon maturity. The trustees have reviewed the Foundation's short-term cash flow requirements and are satisfied that suff icient liquid funds are availabLe to meet all operational needs. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 27/12/2024 .
Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent The charity’s gross income exceeded £25,000 and I am qualified to examiner's statement undertake the examination by being a qualified member of ACCA.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
