Financial R•viow
The results for the year ending 3191 March 2024 an overall surplus in year of £49,905. This comprises a
surplus of £42,995 on unrestrided fvnds and £6,910 on restricted lunds (before transfers). The Surplus this year on
unrestricted ¢ore funds is mainty due to the in¢￿aSe in dsents being seen through the victims of Crime contract wth
the OPFCC, showing a 63% inuease cornpared to the previoLbS year. Also contributing to the surplus ère increases
in room bookings1183%) and bank interest ￿CeIved(232%I.
There have been transfers from Un￿striCted general funds thJ"s year. firsty a transfer of £1.052 to rgstri¢tgd
lunds to make up a Project fijnding s*ortfall, and secondty a transfer to ￿e￿gnatell fiJrKls of £29,592 to enable funds
to be set aside to conb'nue the grant furvj bid wribng project for a second year. This is a new project in 2024125 for
vthi¢h the trustees wsh lo continLTre for a fiJrther year Sh￿Id no olher grant ￿ndIng become available. There has
also been a transfer from restricted funds lo unrestn.cted to cover the deprethat￿ on a fixed asset purchased from a
restncted fvnd donation. These movements, tcsether wth the existing capital replacement fvnd of £8.000 and wind
down provision 01 £26,000 brings the total deyignated funds to £63,592.
The surplu5 in year on restricted funds mainty refiects fijnding receNe(l in advan￿.. the Lloyd8 F¢)unclation (via
Survive} of £7,000 for client sessw)ns April to June 2024 and the ftjndraising income of £4,3tsJ received for Ihe new
hildren's service which has yel lo secure further fvnding for the project to slart.
This bring5 the cumulative reserv•s to., unrestricted £122,685. lof whth £59,093 represents gener81 reseNes and
£63,592 designated re5ervesl and restrided reserves of £23,435. The breakdown of Ihese furK15 are detailed under
note 13 to the accounts,. 'Movem•nt of fvnds,.
The level of free reserves, that is those un￿strICted fvr#Js not lied up in tangl￿e fixed assets, nor held in designated
ftjnds, now stands at £58,572 at 31st March 2024. This supports the trustees. intenb.ons of gradually in¢r¢asing the
leveLof free reserves to provide a provi&on of approximatety six rNJnths crye operab.onal ¢o$ts a contsngency for
any unforeseen emergenw or unexpected need.

Despite continued uncertainty over lundlng. Communty Counselling is opts'mislic about the future and ils ability to
provide a much-needed service to living in RYada￿ and neighbouring distn"cts, not least be¢au$e rt is
fortunate in having an enthusiastic. harikworknng and professional team of paid stsff, self-employed affiliate
counsellors and volunteer counsellors- ably Supp￿¢￿ by a ￿e￿i￿ted Board of Trustees.
