w of our achievements and erfom)ance
Although the year to 3010412023 wa5 Covid free, it did not come without its difficulties. Following
the departure of Andrew Mead of Steed and Steed who had been our 501icitors since the inceptlon
of the charity in 1986, the practice of Steed & Steed was acquired by another flnn who had no
interest in continuing the relationshlp wlth our charlty.
We are therefore Indebted to the accountancy firm of Moore Green and Zoe Fuller who now provide
clerking facilitles and a secure°home" for the charlty.
Rental Income temporarily reverted to pre-covid levels, but the existlng lease came to an end and
the charity concluded a new 5 year lease in September 2022 to the existing tenants but at a yearly
rental of £25,(Y)O ratherthan the £37,500 prevlously enjoyed.
26 applications for educational grants were granted and total of £15,600 was distributed to Students
who had SUC￿sSIU]IY applied for financial assistance towards theirfurther education.
In addition, a travelllng grant of £500 was made to a student who was teachin8 In Honduras in her
gap yearfrom university.
In accordance wlth traditlon, the income from the Relief in Need Charity of £398.13 will be paid over
to the trustees of the Thomas Carter Charity who have similar aims to our charity thereby avoiding
addStional administratlve costs.
