The Trustees consider grants only in response to written applications accompanied by a fully costed budget. Questions are asked if clarrfication is needed. There is not a formal application form for grants. Each application is assessed in line with the objectives in the constitution to judge whether the whole or, in part, qualifies for consideration. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year During 2024 a full programme of fundraising events took place. Grants made to the St Timothy School in Nzara were the same as in 2023 {15,OOOUS$I and the Reserve funds increased to complete the Trustees, aim to hold the equivalent of one year of donations in Reserves. The first payment for 2024 was made in January 2024. St Timothy's School continues to support over 1,000 disadvantaged children with the payment of teacher salaries by The St Timothy Foundation. The Secondary School continues under the Mango Trees. Both schools are running well. The Ugandan curriculum and associated tests for achievement continue. The Foundation is in frequent contact with the Bishop of Nzara and the Administrator of the school. Photographs and updates of progress have been received. The St Timothy Foundation also supported ECS Diawo Nursery and Primary School Nzara Diocese (an under the mango trees school) (3,OOOUS$) In 2024 ECS Mangbondo Nursery and Primary School Yambio Diocese (4,200US$) was added to the schools listed that The St Timothy Foundation support. This was in response to a request by Archbishop Samuel Peni. In recent years two undergraduates had been supported at university in Kampala, Uganda. This outlay had come to an end which enabled the funds to be used to support the school in Yambio. 600US$ was included in the donation for the collection of the money from the Diocesan Bank Account in Juba in June and July. A total of 22,800US$ was donated in 2024. At the end of the year discussions with Aqua Africa to bring a water pipeline into St Timothy's School were underway for implementation in earl 2025. Section E Financial review Policy: The Trustees aim to hold in reserve an amount to cover annual commrtted expenditure in Nzara for Teacher salaries and resources i.e. circa £19,000. This figure varies according to the exchange rate to US$. Due mainly to inflation the aim is to increase the Reserve in line with an increase in giving. As at 31 December 2024 the reserve is £20,547.82 held in the CCLA COIF Charilies De osit Fund Account. Responsibilities and basis of report As the Charity Truslees of the St Timoihy Foundation you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordancc with thc rcquircmcnts of thc Charitics Act 2011 {'the Act.). I report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act. In carryinR out my examination I have followed all applicablc Dircctions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515Xb) of the 201 l Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination and I confinn that no malerial matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination givinR me cause to believe that in any matcrial respect: accounting records were not kept as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
