live in Essex, by organising a series of outings forthem to look
forward tothroughout their illness. Each applicant has theirown
ambassadorwho organises their outings and keeps in touch with the

people with life limiting illnesses, but also to members oftheir
familieswho may be in need ofsome respite

Achievements and performance

e At ourJune2024AGM two newtrustees were appointed

Inthe yearto March 2025 a record numberofapplications for
Good Days were received However ofthe 35 received, 6 were
too ill by the time their application was received, to make full use
ofourGood Days programme The trustees are actively seeking
outways to ensure that people with life limiting illnesses find out
about the David Randall Foundation whilst they are still well
enough to enjoy themselves and make memories with their loved
ones. To this end we have recently linked up with a number of
Essex based associations who work within the medical world and
have contact with people with life limiting tIlnesses. These include
MacMillan Community Voices, Mid Essex Alliance and One
Colchester Delivery Board
e During the yearwe have extended our outreach in thatwe have
now started to organise “GOOD DAYS’ for patients in hospices
These have included animal petting sessions, a reindeer visit, art
sessions and the purchase ofChristmas decorations forthe local
children’s hospice
e In February 2025we awarded scholarships to a local oboist and
an elite tennis player
e We continue to monitor the defibrillators we have installed in the
local area and where there is deemed to be a need will consider
further purchases
e Our annual Rock Up For Randall fundraiserwas well supported
and madea
profit in excess of£8000thanks to the sponsorship of
a local building firm
e Running our Santa Fun Run as a community event has proved so
successful that we have decided to continue with this
e We were fortunate to receive financial supportfrom a number of

Financial review

The amount of reserves held at the end of the period is £184,228, which Brief statement of the is an Increase of £5,652 against the previous year end. Given the need to charity’s policy on reserves maintain a sound financial basis for the charity to develop and enhance its activities, the Trustees felt the reserves were within acceptable guidelines of the Charity Commission.

Further financial review details (Optional information)

The funding and donations provided to date have not been restricted to specific purposes and the Trustees have not yet chosen to designate any funds for specific purposes. Therefore all of the funds are held in general reserves without restriction. As and when donors provide us with funds for a specific purpose these will be restricted to the purposes requested.
