## **Introduction** 

The Trustees are pleased to present the Annual Report of Jamia Masjid Gousia (Telford) for the year ended 30 September 2025. 

Jamia Masjid Gousia continues to serve as a place of worship and a centre for religious education, community engagement and charitable activities. The mosque remains committed to promoting the teachings of Islam while providing support and services that benefit the wider community. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

The charity's objectives are to advance the Islamic faith through the provision of religious services, education and community support. 

Throughout the year the mosque continued to provide: 

- Five daily congregational prayers. 

- Weekly Friday (Jumu'ah) prayers and sermons. 

- Qur'an and Islamic education classes for children and adults. 

- Religious lectures and educational programmes. 

- Ramadan activities including Taraweeh prayers, community iftars and Eid prayers. 

- Annual Mawlid programme and other religious gatherings. 

- Community support and guidance for individuals and families. 

- Youth activities designed to encourage positive engagement within the local community. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

The Trustees are pleased that the mosque continued to deliver its religious and charitable activities throughout the year. 

The madrasah continued to provide Islamic education for local children, while volunteers played an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the mosque. 

Unit 1 Mill Lane remained fully operational throughout the year and continued to be used for educational programmes, youth activities and community events. During the year, the external rendering project at the Mill Lane building was successfully completed, helping to improve and preserve the charity's facilities for long-term community use. 



## **Financial Review** 

The charity remained financially stable during the year. Income was received primarily through public donations and was applied towards the charitable objectives of the mosque. 

Expenditure included wages and salaries, utilities, insurance, repairs and maintenance, cleaning, educational activities and the completion of the external rendering works at the Mill Lane building, together with the general running costs of the mosque. 

The Trustees continue to monitor expenditure carefully and ensure that the charity's resources are managed responsibly and used effectively in furtherance of the charity's objectives. 

## **Volunteers** 

The Trustees would like to record their sincere appreciation to all volunteers, teachers, staff and members of the community who generously gave their time and support throughout the year. Their continued dedication has been essential to the success of the mosque's activities. 

## **Future Plans** 

The Trustees intend to continue developing educational programmes, youth engagement initiatives and community services while maintaining and improving the mosque's facilities. The charity will continue to invest in activities that benefit worshippers and the wider local community. 

## **Conclusion** 

The Trustees remain committed to advancing the charitable objectives of Jamia Masjid Gousia (Telford) and serving the needs of the local community. Through the continued support of our congregation, volunteers and donors, the mosque has been able to strengthen its religious, educational and community services during the year. I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of Jamia Masjid Gousia (Telford) for the year ended 30[th] September 2025. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charity Commission for England and Wales. 

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 and in carrying out my examination I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which give me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept as required by section 130 of the Charities Act 2011; or 

- the accounts do not accord with those records.
